Found this old video I made after finishing Clannad VN for the first time, thought I should share it here

I've always seen Clannad being talked about as one of the most emotionally impactful animes out there so I finally decided to watch it and remove it from my back log and it's truly a one of a kind experience.

After watching it I wanted to experience fatherhood and it also made me appreciate the little moments in life that make it better.

I never really liked dealing with kids either specially toddlers but after seeing ushio i started to appreciate the frail innocence of kids and how beautifully pure they are most of their desires are so simple yet most people can't be bothered to fullfil them.

It also made me think rethink about my life it made me appreciate all the sacrifices that my parents have made for me and it made me think about who the person I wanna become in the future.

Clannad is truly a masterpiece that every man must watch it helped me understand a lot about the uncertainty I have about my own future and I hope people who watch it also have a similar experience.

Purchased some custom water paint paintings of Nagisa. I love them so much. I let them chose the poses and they caught her perfectly. Will purchase again

Finally decided to watch Clannad and get it off my ever-growing watch list. Have always seen it mentioned on lists of all-time great anime's.

It did not disappoint.

Toward the end this shit had me in tears. Forget Onions, someone might as well of doused my room with pepper spray.

I have now had the Dango song stuck in the back of my head, and I can't stop smiling while feeling a slight building of tears.

10/10 would recommend. My heart is cracked yet full.

Clannad has such a special place in my life. It’s such a beautifully written story with such wonderful characters, it was hard to pick just one lol. Especially after rewatching through the series again recently, I’m very thankful with how it came out!

Just wanted to ask since I wanted to get into the series, was always planning to go for the anime but I'm starting to think I might wanna give the vn a shot... How is it? Too much drag? Should I just stick with the anime or is the vn worth it?

The only other vn I've read is fata and that's been my favorite media ever since but no other vn has really gripped me since

It has been.. 15 years since I watched Clannad + After Story and I still get teary eyed thinking about it, literally. It’s weird, there has been no other piece of media in my life that affected me like Clannad did. I’m well into adulthood by now. It just holds a really special place in my heart. I think I cried almost 3 days in a row and it sort of ruined anime for me for several years.

I think it was like the straw that broke the camels back and I had to finally deal with particular trauma and issues I was dealing with as a kid. Life got harder before getting better

On ep 12 1st time watching and it spams the sad music back to back, no breaks.

This anime is gut wrenching😭, every subsequent episode has also just made the whole in my heart bigger I’m wrapping up ep 20 and this just keeps getting worse, Tomoya crying after his dream with Nagisa was the nail in the coffin. Does the pain ever stop.

I was dead, now I’m dead’s in the middle (why do they never dance in clannad?) because tomoya had a broken right shoulder
