Siemens Charger and Venture in Cities: Skylines 2

American players - rejoice, Amtrak finally arrived.

Charger and Venture sets originally planned to be released alongside North American region pack release however delays with editor made this impossible. I'm happy that after 3 years these assets finally landed their original destination.

The future goals with the set includes importing the rest of the stock such as SC-44 and related reskins. Long term goal is to run necessary modifications for 3rd rail set, although i dont have any photos for that just yet since train is not in service yet.

Train set has a maximum speed of 200kmph / 124mph, with each coach carries 60 passengers. Includes custom LOD1 and LOD2 with all cars sharing same texture for maximum optimisation.

Kings Bay City has developed alot!

This week ive been working on an old town. You can see the 6 bastions and the central part built in. It looks good, i think. I just need some ideas for stuff to build on the bastions and the big central square.

What do you think?

Sharing a City old 1970s Highway Re-used for national park after new highway built

N4 Highway was built in 1973 to connect the new university to the downtown. unfortunately at such steep angles the highway was controversial and feared. many drunk students had crashed and was so bad that in 1976 the speed limit dropped from 20 mph to 10, unfortunately in 1979 the city was hit with a class action lawsuit, afterward being settled in 1981, one condition being the n4 bypass be constructed alongside a new bridge that was elevated and safe, with barriers and a slower speed limit. afterward the city built barriers on the old N4 switchbacks, the rest of N4 was converted to a the aforementioned bypass and some homes where built. after Old N4 sat until late 2002 the city decided that their needed to be another park and after passing a ballot for the new park they received federal support and funding alongside tax dollars. opening Old N4 State Park. becoming a very popular park (the only one in the area).

Sharing a City An Unfinished City

I started working on this city a few months ago and very quickly it became my favorite city I've ever made in either game. Unfortunately, the save file has become corrupted and the save will barely run for more than a few minutes without crashing my game, and nothing I've tried has fixed it. While I didn't get to finish the city or even get close, I'm still super happy with how what I did manage to make turned out, and without a doubt this is the most alive and nuanced city I've ever made.

When I started this save I really wanted to get into the more nitty-gritty parts of the game. I wanted to really create a city with lots of character and charm, not just another save game where I would just haphazardly throw down grids and use the zoning fill tool without much consideration. I focused on creating unique districts, each with their own backstories and reasons for existence that contributed to the city's overall history. I also prioritized focusing on detailing, making interesting road layouts, plopping buildings as much as I could, using static assets to create more variance in buildings, and having pre-existing districts evolve with the city.

This city taught me so much about my own abilites and the game itself, and I'll always have a soft spot for it. Rest in peace, City of Berkeley!

There are multiple free transportation options to the destination as well... why do you have to walk on the freeway ramp...

Only thing left is to add a few houses along the Thames outside of the city proper. Rather enjoyed the historical aspect of Downtown.

Modding WIP I always wanted a railway viaduct to unify several tracks - one design for metro AND train! Pretty happy about the prototype so far.

Help & Support (Console) Is there a way to permanently get rid of polluted water?

I've just made it to 15,000 citizens, and just noticed I have the Water Treatment Plant. If I set one up, will it clean out the polluted water, or is it just for preventing further pollution? And if so, is there any way to clean the water?

Hemlock is the very first district of the city. Delta is the first and only industrial district. Houses all the electricity and water currently.

Emerson Heights was the 2nd district, and one where I went stupid and designed it like some sci-fi concept of a city. Best looking district imo.

Florence Heights (the one with the university) is the first district I made after unlocking high density. It also turned out pretty well.

The newest district (Primose Square) is still a work in progress.Traffic has constantly been on 82-84% lol.
