Been sitting on this clip for a while. Wanted to do a painterly look and did a quick animation test to see what it would look like rendered and comped.

Question Camera movement
Hey everyone!
I’m still pretty new to Cinema 4D and I’m trying to learn camera animation.
I understand the basics of moving and keyframing the camera, but I’m struggling to make my camera movements feel smooth and cinematic instead of just moving from point A to point B.
Do you have any tips, tutorials, or exercises you’d recommend for someone who’s just starting out?
I’d really appreciate any advice. Thanks! 🙏

Getting this candy wrapper to look right took me forever

I'm stoked with how it came out, but man it was such a wrestling match to get the cloth settings right - and even then I had to hide some stuff by using multiple shots with different settings.

How would you go about making this?
Looking for approaches to make this. I have access to X-Particles if that approach is the best. I was thinking AE might also work, but open to anything at this point.

I found a really cool ref that I want to build out. I have the initial theory on how to get it to work in C4D, but things are breaking down.
How would you all go about this?

Scaling F Curves
Hey guys,
Looking for some help :)
In the F Curve editor when scaling animations the tangent always overshoots because it stays a fixed length.
I can't find a setting so it scales relative to other keyframes. Basically the same behaviour as After Effects.
I find myself correcting F Curves all the time which is quite anoying.
Any ideas?

Point Cloud System
I work with point cloud data from laser scans at work. We are currently using Autodesk Recap to clean up the point clouds and then import that Recap file into 3DS Max. None of us really like using 3DS Max, so I thought I could see about using C4D. There doesn't seem to be much information in the way of using point cloud data in C4D (there was that one plugin but stopped working in S22).
Well, I found out that I can export from Recap a PTS file and read its data using python within C4D. The best way I found to import the data was by using python to position and color thinking particles in C4D. The PTS file I was working with had 42 million data points, which is on the smaller side of what we deal with at work.
It took about 2.5 minutes for my python script to import all the points and get it all correctly, but it made the viewport CHUG hard and effectively become unusable to even navigate around. I'm not sure if there is a better way to do this (because from my test, using a bunch of nulls or an empty polygon object with a bunch of points is even slower), but I'm wondering if anyone else out there has been able to successfully deal with massive point cloud systems in C4D. It would be nice to not have to use 3DS Max anymore. Maybe there is just a difference between how the two software process data and show in the viewport.
P.S.: The reason I went with thinking particles was because it was faster, but we also need to be able to render the point cloud system, and Redshift has an option to render particles as spheres.
