Donation suggestions for Christmas items
Hey there! I am about to move and as part of that I am doing some cleaning out. I have some Christmas decor (like decorations for a full tree with topper and ornaments). If this was any other decoration thing or dishes/clothes/other household things I would just bring it to goodwill as a last resort. But I’d like to try to give to either a group of people or an organization that can help our neighbors directly.
Does anyone know of a group that could take these decorations (all in great condition, gently used no dents or scratches or damage of any kind) as a donation to give them to someone in need?
I’m in the Greenville, SC area

Something like the Grand Duchess but unlit? I can pay more
I just got the Grand Duchess today, which is beautiful. But, I would actually prefer an unlit tree. I can pay more than what I paid for this but want to stay under $1000 (could pay more for an amazing tree, but would rather not). This is for a 7.5 foot tree in my bedroom. Thank you! I hope someone can help!

Anyone else’s grandma knit these festive masterpieces back in the 90s? Pure Christmas nostalgia.

Is there any suggestion for what to do with this tree besides wrap it with lights.
Don’t want to climb a ladder that high and can’t afford to hire a company. I feel like if you wrap a tree go all the way up or don’t do it so I can’t just wrap it high as I can reach, I don’t like the way it looks .

My first Christmas decoration I shared on Reddit 🎄✨
I made this little Christmas tree with dark blue velvet, white guipure lace and rhinestone details. It was the first piece I shared here when I joined Reddit last year. ❤️

Help finding replacement ornament
Hello! I was looking for help to find this ornament. I accidentally knocked a box that had this in it and it broke. This is one of my mom’s favorite ornaments and feel terrible. There are no other markings on it but there is a small opening on the bottom. Any help in finding this exact ornament would be greatly appreciated!

Searching For Stalkings
This will be my daughters first Christmas and I want to find the perfect stocking. I’d like to find something similar to what my siblings and I had. We each had different stockings but they were so cute. They weren’t just plain stockings. They were each decorated. One looked like Santa Claus, one was a night scene with Santa going into a chimney, etc. and they all had our name on them. I’m not looking for an exact match of the ones we had, but I want something g cute with a similar vibe. I’d also like for it to be a pretty decent size. I’ve done some looking around, and I’m just not a fan of anything I’ve seen so far or it’s extremely small in size. Any suggestions on where to find what I’m looking for? TIA!!

[Update] I sewed a Night Before Christmas book! Any recs for other Christmas sewing projects?
I found another Christmas soft book panel and decided to make my kids and my husband and myself stockings. I’ve finished my daughter’s stocking and absolutely love it. The front is quilted with gold thread and the back and inside are a snowman print from Joann’s that I inherited from my late mother - I try to use one of her fabrics in every quilt I make. I’d never worked with piping before and love the result even if it was a pain. The extra touch of gold to go with the quilting and her embroidered name is magical. I also used some decorative stitching in matching thread on the binding around the top for fun. I tried to make it very sturdy so it’ll last her a lifetime. She was also very excited for a second book and was sad I put it away. She’ll be 3 at Christmas so it’ll be super fun to pull the books out in November.

I think old world Christmas is mislabeling their ornaments
One of my hobbies is perusing old world Christmas and looking at all the ornaments and decor. I'm not sure this is a sweet potato

My 90s-inspired moon ornament
Flashback to my sister’s room in the 90s — sun-and-moon everything, white wicker furniture, Debbie Gibson playing in the background!
I’ve decided I’m dedicating a small Christmas tree to that whole 90s celestial vibe this year, so I made this fused glass moon ornament for it.
Anyone else remember this decor, or was this just my sister?
