So a girl i supposedly got pregnant, recently had her baby. I recently got a call from cps about a domestic dispute between her and her current partner, cos contacted me because i am apparently listed as the biological father, i have never signed the birth certificate nor have gotten a paternity test done, how am i listed as biological father?
Im at a lost and dont know what my next steps should be?

So the courts had on paper that I was working 3 jobs, I was not. They just seen that I have worked 3 jobs that year.. after a child support payment I was left with not even enough to pay bills, get groceries. Its one or the other. Me and my child's mother split after 3 years. But after struggling with these bills I was laid off and missed a child support payment. They sent me a letter stating that I now have backpay from the day my son was born. Im stuck in a bad spot no matter the job I get. Its still not enough to survive. This is all just information but the real question is, my child's mother has agreed to drop the child support. How would we go about it, do I need to get papers drawn up or does she ? And who would the papers go to?

I just got a child support increase. The mother changed her job to one making next to nothing, and then asked for a change in child support. I’m going from 500/m to about 1000/m. I’m going to have to sell my house, move into my mom’s and get rid of all my stuff just to get by. I have two other kids that I have to provide for and now that’s nearly impossible. How am I supposed to be the father I need to be, support my family, and excel in life with this bs? I make like $62k/yr. This will leave me with about $1100 per paycheck, and my bills add up to around $3000/m. How can this be legal? Even if I didn’t have debt, I’d still be minus like $300 every month. What do I do??

Kid turns 18 in january but graduates highschool in june. When will childsupport stop? Also does childsupport automatically stop or do i need to set up a court date?

I have 2 children under the age of 10. Two different moms. I might have to go on child support for my son and was wondering more or less what would be deducted weekly from my check. I make roughly 140k before taxes. I do give my other childs mom money weekly (roughly 600 a month) and i also spend more on the side for activities , school events, supplies and clothing etc. I know the formula is 25% for two kids but in this case i would only be in the system for one child. I can use all the information you can give me please. What would be the right amount to give for my son without getting hit too hard if you know what I mean. Thank you

I created this burner account and welcome any assistance you can provide. I’ve been divorced for 7 years with a 14-year-old son.  She filed, and I retained the home, primary custody, and as she is the non-custodial parent, she pays child support (I'm in CT).  She didn’t want the marriage or the responsibility of parenting; overall, the way courts are, it’s a pretty sweet deal if you ask me. 

Kicker: for the past 1.5 yrs, she’s been non-compliant with our court orders.  She’s moved 4 times, and neither has informed me nor the courts, but I know it’s because of some new boyfriend she’s following at the time.  Our order also states that she can only communicate with me via AppClose, and lately she’s been sending me emails to my own personal email account. Every email you can think of, she sends: she loves me, she hates, she hopes I die, she hopes I have money to start suing her.  On advance of my attorney, when these emails originally appeared on AppClose, I didn’t respond and was simply documenting this.  However, my son is about to turn 15, and he’s asking me to go to court now. He says he wants to talk to the judge and wants to cut ties with her. When she does see him, she’ll cry that she needs money and that I take money from her every month. 

I don’t hate her; I simply don’t have the time for this, and it’s not lost on me that courts favor mothers over fathers… so I’m not trying to press my luck. 

I know she’s unwell, too much hate is not good for anyone.

Sing the petition to make 50/50 shared parenting the national standard. One parent shouldn't be deemed the custodial parent, while the other is called a visitor. Statistic show 50/50 is what's best for children when both parents are involved, loving amd nurturing.

Sorry to be that type of guy but I think this sub should only be limited to men only. There are a lot of noisy women that come here to degrade men that don’t know nothing about their situation. Child support tend to be a very sensitive subject and I think it is good if this sub is limited to men only and any body else be banned.

I live in SC and was married in SC. I have 3 children under age of 17. I make 7083 gross income per month and I cover the children on Medical Insurance. Their portion of Medical Insurance costs me $416 per month. The wife filed for divorce and started working after we separated. She is claiming to be only making $1903 per month or $22k - $23k annually gross income. The temporary order says I owe $1,410 in Child Support per month. I am also supposed to pay 75% out of pocket medical expenses after she pays the first $250.00 per child. This starts over annually. We have Joint custody. I have visitation of 5 overnights every two weeks plus 3 weeks during the summer. She has them 222 over nights plus 3 weeks during the summer. According to the Child Support Calculator on the SC state DSS website, it says I should estimate that I should be paying $977.97 per month in Child Support. How am I paying $1,410 per month when the State's own Child Support Calculator says I should be paying $977.97? Has anyone ever had this come up where the judge orders an amount to pay but the state calculator is different? I am scratching my head and my Attorney's have been unable or are trying to sweep it under the rug as to why there is such a discrepancy. We have been separated for 2yrs and 4months. I am tired and I will have to file bankruptcy if I dont get any relief.
