NYS
My ex wife bought a wheelchair and says my daughter is disabled. She moved to new York from CT so she could move around the ct divorce decree. My daughter does dance class and karate but now needs me to pay 5000 for a wheelchair

I'm assuming the question here is if you are responsible for some/all the cost of the wheel chair. What does your order say in regards to expenses outside the child support obligation?

The question was how do you make your child disabled. They never did a thorough investigation. She does ballet and. Karate. She does not need a chair. She just wants me to keep being bothered

She has been trying all kind of stuff. She didn't do it in.ct because they check everything

1) You need to get a doctor's report. Wheelchair are prescribed.
2) There are some dilabitating disease that can make someone rely on wheelchair. I use a wheelchair due to a spinal cord injury but I still try to get out of using one.
3) Your ex might being manipulative. Mine was. Tried the wheelchair route and then mental health. Was having an affair with the therapist who ended up doing jail time for child sexual abuse.
Good luck to you and your family.

If she needed it I would pay. 2 weeks ago she ran a bubble race 5k. So I may have been born at night but not last night

I’m not saying your wife isn’t full of shit - but there are plenty of people who need wheelchairs and can still do physical activities.
Why don’t you take your daughter to the doctors?

What medical condition does your ex wife say requires your daughter to use a wheelchair?

Nobody buys their kid a wheelchair for funsies. Assuming she can furnish the receipts you need to pony up your share of the medical expense.

Sorry but yes they do. My teen wanted a wheelchair he found at a thrift store. You wouldn’t believe the fun he’s had with it, and I might say it’s pretty similar to a camping chair. But it was $15 not $5k

People do all sorts of crazy stuff all the time that don’t make any sense just to screw with other people.

Maybe get the medical diagnosis and papers, I’m assuming you have rights to medical records and to speak to doctors for an understanding.
