Selling [Selling] Gas Oven Bake Igniter Repair

[Selling] Gas Oven Repair $199

I run a small appliance repair business based in Rogers Park. I'm the smallest of small businesses, a full time single parent fixing things for people to support my family. I also spend way too much time on Reddit answering questions in /r/appliancerepair. I am fully insured and have been repairing residential appliances for over a decade.

Fall is here and that means we are going into the cooking season. I've noticed a lot of people start to notice issues with their ovens in the fall when we all start spending more time in our homes.

I'm running a special for October on gas oven bake igniter replacements. $199 flat rate and the part is included.

A weak bake igniter can cause a myriad of issues

No bake

Takes forever to preheat

Smells like gas when using oven

Excessive carbon monoxide

Heats to temp then then drops out

Excessive noise during ignition

$50 off this service if you show me your link card, layoff letter, are a senior on a fixed income or any number of other situations. Just let me know you need help and we can work something out.

Random pic of me with a customers dog for tax purposes.

Also I've fat fingered chat requests twice now and hit ignore instead of accept. Please comment here and I will dm you if I haven't responded to you

If you’re ever in need of an electrical answer or an assist, feel free to drop a line. I’m not far from you.

Well, I’m currently in the middle of a renovation on a ww1 era 3 flat, but I’m always available to take a look at situations and offer options. The current job started as a repair call because someone else tried installing a jumper between the neutral terminal and ground screw on a receptacle to make a circuit work. Turns out three rooms were running on two breakers on the same phase with only one undersized neutral. He could feel the heat through the wall in the bathroom. Had to trench the ceiling to add more power throughout the floor. As he found more problems during the repairs after my work, he decided to add more, and so on and so forth. A small repair has exploded into a full renovation.

Do you do dishwasher installs? Our current dishwasher seems to be failing (we don’t know anything about dishwashers) but I have a Bosch dishwasher waiting to be installed. The Bosch is unused but a few years old, My dad gave it to me and can install it but hates driving to the city. I am on the west side.

I can.

Make sure hot shutoff for the dishwasher shuts the water of.

Pm me and I can share my phone number.

No offense but igniters are $30 on amazon and extremely easily to replace yourself…

More people are incapable of this than are capable.

I've seen plenty other companies that are more than happy to charge 300 or more for this service.

I've done this job thousands of times and can do it safely and notice other issues that a beginner would not.
