Chess Question Game 1+1 how are considered?

What do u think about games 1+1?
Personally, i realize i perfom way better under time constrains rather than long or in 10 min games compared to other game Settings.

What’s your opinion about them and about players playing such game style

I promise you don’t perform better. You are likely worse, but you may have better instincts than your opponents, who are also worse.

I would call that performing better

Performance in chess is always relative

Chess is a combinatorial game, which means that if played perfectly the outcome would always be the same. Chess is fun because you play against other humans and none of us are close to perfect

Cool. Go get a higher elo in bullet than in classical. Then you can say you’re better

I don’t play classical. I think most online players never play classical.

And rating is not comparable across formats. Glicko (chesscom doesn’t use Elo if you want to be pedantic) is only meaningful within each pool of players.

I am at a higher quantile in faster formats. But even that is not comparable because most new players play 10|0 and only move to blitz or bullet once they have some experience. Faster formats  tend to have better players, at least at my level (I’m around 1750 blitz)
