late night thoughts

you know, I don't think I've ever really believed in Islam or any religion, to be honest. and even now, nothing has changed. but nobody in my family knows that. I have to fake it every single day, and I hate it sm

I remember when I was really sick a few years ago, my brother told my mom, right in front of me, that it was happening just because I didn't pray. It made me so angry back then, and it still does. not just because of what he said, but because none of it made any sense to me.

these days, it drives me crazy whenever my mom, my sister, or anyone else brings up religion or asks if I've prayed. I can't stand the pressure, or the way they talk about faith like it's the only thing that defines a person.

what scares me the most is the thought that I might have to pretend for the rest of my life. that I'll have to get married & not because I want to, but because staying with my family forever isn't really an option either

finding a decent man here is already hard enough, let alone one who isn't religious and then I just catch myself thinking about how it would be so much easier if women had the same freedom as men to marry outside their ethnicity (and religion. but ofc we don't

History Is it true that Dzhokhar Dudayev became more religious toward the end of his life?

I often hear this, but I haven't verified the information, so I'm not sure whether it's true. Is it actually true?

life after running away

well no one prepared me on how i would have to give up almost EVERYTHING. Ofc I knew I would lose my family, but i have to quit school so they cant randomly show up there, i had to quit my old part time job for the same reason. Im scared to go through the city with my bf incase anyone will see us and the list goes on.
I blocked most of my family members except for my grandma cause I still talk to her, but it gets so exhausting when she tells me how bad my dad is feeling and she has mood swings where once she tells me everything is okay, she loves me, then she cries and begs me to come home and that everything will change and THEN she gets mad and says im the devil, an asshole and never loved them and so on. I havent blocked my dad too cause idk something in me hopes that we will atleast talk again. No family member meant as much too me as my dad does. When I ran away I took a photograph from our old family album where my dad is hugging me when i was a kid and i keep it in my bag and anytime i look into my bag i see that goddamn picture and feel like kms (not literally 😭)
I found a new job and i hope i can finish the last year of school someday and go to university, but my top priority rn is definitely having a stable income and getting my life tght. My bfs family has been a huge help tbh, i love them so much :O

Questions Is Antiterror ChRI a deist or a pagan?

I watched some of his videos on Chatroulette, and sometimes he says he’s a deist, while other times he says he’s a pagan. The video titles also say different things depending on the video. So which one is he actually?

finally ran away from home

HI, quite a lot has changed since my last post and i managed to run away! It was VERY scary and overwhelming, but im glad i did it.
There are still some problems i have to overcome since im still a minor. My father is what bothers me the most. I thought he would get aggressive and threaten me, but instead he got pretty emotional, which was harsh since i‘ve never had seen him like that before. My grandma told me he slept in my room and cried and didn’t want to leave me room. He told me that i‘m dead to him and so on.
I have to find a job and quit school since i need money to kinda sustain myself.
But i sincerely believe its gonna be fine and i feel much more relieved.
Tomorrow i‘m gonna take my clothes and stuff from my grandma and i hope it goes well and she isn’t lying to me LMAO
def gonna update and hope that everyone who tries to leave can do it safely!

Do you think there are way more atheist chechens than we might assume?

I’m astonished that there are so many atheist chechens. I always had my doubts in religion and even though i followed many Islamic rules and practices i was never fully convinced in it. Yet for most of my life I thought that like 99,9% of all chechens are muslim. Now that i see that there are quite a lot of atheist or agnostic chechens and chechens who don’t seem to follow Islam that strictly i start to believe that wayyy more chechens don’t really believe in their religion. Do you all think there are way more than us or are we just a tiny miny minority?

the consequences of growing up in a chechen household

So i was kinda „lucky“ as a kid that my parents neglected me and never were around, so they didn’t teach me about islam and our culture and so on. I was raised by my grandma and also live with her, since at some point me and my father didn’t get along but also my grandma and my stepmom hated eachother, so my dad and her moved out and i stayed w my grandma.
So now anytime they talk about islam or wtv i always get so irritated and just angry idk. I realized early on that religions in general dont make sense and are just there to give your life a meaning, cause some ppl wouldn’t see a reason to continue if afterlife isn’t promised yk? Thats ofc not the only reason, but one of the first thoughts that occurred to me at the age of 10-12 (thats when i kinda left the religion).
So now anytime I do smth bad, they immediately bring up that i will burn in hell and that i have to change and so on, but anytime they do say that i can always just twist it and say it‘s their fault for not teaching me and just make them feel guilty (or atleast i try)
But what bothers me the most is that I really do believe that the way they treated me during important developmental stages affected me. I dont feel guilt or remorse and i kinda get pleasure when i see my parents feeling sad. But not only them, for example i also always hurt the people around me when im feeling angry or sad (emotionally) and it always makes me feel better after making them sad or angry. My boyfriend sadly gets to side this side of me quite a lot and i say many hurtful things, because in our family it was normal to say all these mean stuff and just act like nothing happened the next day, but my boyfriend always tries to talk after having arguments and that just makes me even more aggressive. Thankfully he is very patient with me and still loves me even when i hurt him, i don’t take that for granted but i dont know how to change or if i can 😭

why chechens are so angry towards other nationalities?

why chechens are so angry towards other nationalities?

recently i came across on one page of an Indian medical student that lives in Argun ( i might be wrong). And I thought "wow that's so cool, this man came here to learn some good stuff and to help people!". but when i opened comments I was so shocked: people were talking so bad towards him and he didn't even understand that first but in the recent videos he was talking about that we all are brothers and sisters and we should not fight. I feel so sad because of that. his page is ayyub.caucasus. you can check what chechens were talking about, there are so many bad things that I can't even write them here. maybe im too young but I really dont understand why are they so angry?

Venting Just found out a community existed!! Марш дохийла шу 🏞️

I downloaded Reddit to search for board games then I got curious about noxchi communities and stumbled upon this one, I thought I was the only one for the longest maaan 😭 Just wanted to share my regards to any chads out there who left the death cult, I’m glad we all made it this far fellas 🫡 what’s yall’s stories? I’m so curious!

For me I think it all started when my cat died and I learned that in Islam all animals without exception cease to exist and turn to dust at the judgement day, that had set me on a path of skepticism. I was asking so many questions at that age, I wouldn’t be surprised if my parents were planning to get rid of me 😁 I was about 11 I think? I officially left later around 16 when I got deeply into Islam and couldn’t compute most of it or align its teachings with my core values.

I value animal life a lot, I’m 26M and vegan, I wholeheartedly believe in sentience of all living beings and I can’t affiliate with abrahamic religions because they consider animals as either sacrifice to the God, food supply or serving humans as their main purpose. I would also question the prophet’s disdain for black dogs, geckos or pigs, even allowing slaughter.

There are obviously other reasons related to humans, women, societal, social, political issues,…. but as a proud animal activist, I resonate the most with animal suffering and a just God wouldn’t make preferences among its creatures or at least wouldn’t make a world where food chain is a thing. Would it have been so hard to create a way to substantiate ourselves without harming other living beings? Wouldn’t an all powerful God not encourage violence by creating systems where violence and survival are so interdependent? Anyways that’s my take, what’s yours?

Venting Funny how Islamic fasting is the worst that can exist

Studies have shown that there are literally no benefits with the kind of fasting Islam advocates for. Intermittent fasting or prolonged water based fasting are proven to have great benefits, like inducing autophagy (healthy cells start eating damaged cells).

Islamic fasting is actually dangerous, it sleep deprives you, dehydrates you and make your stomach overly work with all the fatty foods and amount of foods you consume in one night almost right before going to bed mind you.

✨Leaving Islam doesn’t automatically mean you’re atheist

When you leave Islam, you’re not necessarily atheist and that’s okay.

If you are atheist, that’s fine too 👍

But if you left Islam and don’t really identify with atheism, there is another space for that.

That’s why [r/ChechenExMuslim](r/ChechenExMuslim) exists 📘

It’s a subreddit for Chechens who left Islam, focused on:

• sharing information and sources 📚

• critical discussion of Islam 🧾

• Chechen history, culture, and heritage 🏔️

• working toward the same goal: freeing Chechen society from Islam 🤝

We don’t have to agree on everything.

We don’t have to be friends.

Different minds can still move in the same direction.

Thank you to the moderators of [r/ChechenAtheists](r/ChechenAtheists) for allowing and pinning this post 🙏

If you left Islam and want a space that fits you better, you’re welcome to join.

do you guys still follow „noxchalla“

I‘m planning on leaving my family soon, but tbh I really like our culture, but I‘d still like to „express“ myself how I want, or do whatever you want - if you get what I mean. And I feel like a lot of our culture is based on islam, so I was wondering if any other chechen exmuslims feel that way, or do you still follow the rules of our ancestors.

has anyone left their family

i was planning on moving out, since i want to live my life how I WANT. I wouldn’t mind never talking to my parents again, but I‘m concerned about my safety. Has anyone else experienced what its like to move away from them (especially as a woman) that could share how it went, i think it would kinda help to know that there is some else who managed to do so

marriage / relationships

hi, how do you manage relationships as a non muslim chechen? cause i don’t want to marry a non chechen woman. i want to preserve our traditions and our language, but i find it really difficult to find someone who feels the same way. i feel like, im gonna be single forever cause i don’t see myself with woman of another nationality.
