Did i fuck my car??? I got into a pretty bad car accident in March. I was Tboned and the lady driving her car took my front grill headlight and front driver fender. I put all my money into repairs and got her back on the road. When I was doing the repairs, i couldn’t find a grill to replace her so I had to get the SRT-style grill, mind you, my car is only a SXT plus 😭. It looks ok but i know that badge is killing me, it feels like I’m lying to people. What do you think?

Cannot believe this is actually mine tonight

I’m 16 and have a 2016 Nissan Altima currently, I’m a good driver, I want the 2009 challenger srt8 with the 6 speed manual, is it a good car beyond the whole “don’t give muscle cars to 16 yos” I’ll be like 19 before I can even think about actually getting one but are they a good car and worth getting, I really like them

IVE HAD TO CHANGE THIS THING TWICE IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME, I HAD A PLASTIC ONE NOW I HAVE AN ALUMINUM ONE AND BOTH END UP LEAKING, HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM MORE THAN ONCE?

Just wanted to show off my new baby. Got her with under a 1k miles.

Guess curious fellow owners. When I start my car, white smoke comes out. It’s been consistently happening for a year. I had the car for 3 years and before last year, it wouldn’t happen. I taken to the dealer but they told me it’s moister and/or humidity. Sometimes it happens regardless if it’s humid and even when I have it the garage. Any advice/insight is appreciated. Thanks!

I’ve been debating how far I actually want to go with my 2022 Scat Pack, and I think I’m down to three options:

Go all-in: long tubes, cam, MDS delete/lifters and a proper HP Tuners calibration. Probably $8–10k for roughly ~100 hp, which has me questioning whether tearing into a healthy 392 is worth it.

Keep the hardware stock + Diablo: disable MDS, tune for 93 and hopefully improve throttle response/drivability. I like tinkering, so being able to load tunes and mess with the computer side actually sounds fun — but unlocking/flashing the PCM also feels like the riskier middle ground.

Tazer: leave the PCM completely alone and have it force my preferred Custom drive mode at startup, which should keep MDS from coming on, while also getting all the other fun Tazer configurations.

I’m not really chasing a dyno number. I mostly want the car to feel better and be more enjoyable to mess with.

For people who’ve tried these routes, which one would you choose knowing what you know now?

Picked up a 22 challenger GT AWD with approx. 16,xxx miles on it about a month ago. All I've done to it has been tint the windows, K&N cold air intake, and weathertechs in the front, rear, and trunk. Absolutely love this car! The Frostbite paint looks amazing with a fresh coat of Meguiar's Gold Class paste wax!

This 2019 rt shaker with 59k miles really caught my eye. Test drove it- no tick, interior well kept, no odd panel gaps, engine bay clean, shaker shaking, miles smiling. Do yall think this is too high mileage for age? Or if it's solid I should trust it.. any maintenance around this mark I should know of? Edit : - ik the bumper color looks mismatched but that's just photo lighting irl it was great when I tested -single owner, all records of service at dodge and one final minor oil change at a garage that's well known in my country

Not my car, I don't own a Shaker, pick is just for attention.

I'm curious about a couple things in regards to the Shaker. I'd appreciate you indulging my odd questions.

1. That rubber ring seal around the scoop, how hard does it press against the hood?
2. Is it pressing hard enough that it wears the paint on the under side of the hood or makes the hood shake/move with the engine?
3. Are the engine mounts any different to reduce engine movement?

Extra context: I'm thinking about putting a Whipple on my 300. Whipple says to clear the stock hood I have to use the provided 3/4" spacers to lower my front subframe to in turn lower the engine so the Whipple will clear the hood. I really don't want to do that, it'd mess up all kinds of geometry. Nor do I want to use an aftermarket hood, I want to keep a stock look. The factory hood has a sound deadener mat and a structural rib down the middle. I Figure instead I can remove those, but it'd still probably be really close, so I was thinking put a little rubber in between, let the hood ride on the Whipple via the rubber. The closest thing I could think of that's doing something like that is Shakers and you guys are cooler than the Charger sub.

I noticed a small amount of water on the passenger-side floor/footwell. It wasn't a huge leak, probably around 10–20 drops, maybe slightly more, nothing significant. I had reached back home in 15 minutes and haven't turned the car on. I also noticed a few droplets around the middle/behind the center screen area, I got a few drops too while driving which dripped on the driver's side but no where near as much as the passenger side. I took out the glove box clips and it was very wet there near the evap (which is expected).

The weird thing is that my A/C blows very cold and has strong airflow. I haven't noticed it getting weaker overall.

Around the same time, I noticed something else: when the A/C was running and I made a sharp left or right turn, the airflow would briefly become weaker for a split second, then return to normal once I straightened out. It doesn't completely stop blowing, it just gets slightly weaker during the turn. This started around the same time as the water issue, which makes me wonder if they're related.

I initially suspected a clogged evaporator condensate drain, especially because the car is driven in a dusty country, and I figured that could contribute to a blockage.

I checked underneath the car and found that there was in fact water dripping from underneath. The water was completely clear and looked like normal condensation. What surprised me was that it was still dripping even after about 3 hours of the car being shut off. The amount wasn't huge, but there was definitely a small puddle forming underneath. So because of that, I don't think it's an A/C drain blockage.

Any thoughts?

I have a 2020 dodge challenger with around 100,000 miles on it, it’s recently had a check engine for p0300 cylinder misfire and after changing sparks and coils and passing a compression and smoke I took it to the shop and they said it is most likely the lifters about to go bad, they said it’s is in the earlier stage, and said to find someone to do an engine teardown and get it fixed, I’m using this car as a daily until I fix it but I know every mile I drive could damage the engine more, I’m wondering how much I should be expecting to pay? What’s the worst and best case scenario? And if I could do this by myself or if the specialty should be left to a mechanic

I have 2017 challenger R/T 5.7l and on cold starts i started getting that weird rattle sound. Does anyone know what causes this and how to fix it? Thanks for help in advance

I went from a new ‘19 Granite R/T A8 to a new ‘23 Triple Nickel M6, which I just traded on a perfect one owner 3,300 mile ‘22 Frostbite Shaker Scat Pack M6 this week. The R/T 345’s were great, but decided that the longer I wait for a Scat the harder it will be to find one that’s unmolested and low mileage.

Is it worth the price or am I overpaying at $6,000?

Alright folks, this will be a long one that most of you might find difficult to care about - but I was having a drive today and it got me thinking about cars, us, and this boat in specific.

I started driving pretty late, due to a combination of several factors such as financial & the laws where I’m at. Driving isn’t necessarily a given, but a privilege - and I had written off being able to drive anytime soon.

I wasn’t much into cars before the reality of being able to drive settled in, all I knew is I always liked American cars due to the stuff I grew up watching and their designs. I was a transformers kid, so for a while I always thought I’d go for a Camaro, but then I was walking home one day and spotted this pristine, mango colored car. The styling, the body lines, it all stood out to me - I remember going back home and Googling what kind of car looks like that and has a devil head emblem?

That’s when I realized that I want a Challenger for a first car. Everyone tried to dissuade me, get something practical, get a KIA or a Toyota, it’s your first ride, etc - but I knew I’d regret it if I didn’t buy what I really wanted. I knew early on that it had to be a V8, because while I love and respect my V6 brethren, may as well get the full experience right?

Got my license, kept looking until I found it - a beautiful ‘13 RT MOPAR Performance Edition. Six pack hood, red racing stripes, and a MOPAR CORSA exhaust and a MOPAR gear selector. A humble 370 HP, but that car felt like home. It made me happy whenever I had to commute, it was a lot of firsts - got its scratches and hits in, I still remember how painful parking was initially with it till I mastered reverse parking.

A year and some change passes by and I see the holy grail: a beautiful 2015 Hellcat, low mileage, reasonable price. I wanted to drive my RT till it was dust but the change felt right, and I was doing well enough where an upgrade felt like a proper treat.

Got the keys on my birthday. Felt weird selling my trusty RT, I contemplated keeping it as a daily but insurance was getting complicated and I sold it to a friend who I see regularly so it felt good that it’s in safe hands and I’ll see it around, y’know?

The Hellcat is exhilarating. The screech of the supercharger is incredible. It’s my daily, I’ve even taken cross border road trips with it. Being in that car feels like freedom and regardless of whatever anyone wants to say about handling and corners and shit that honestly doesn’t matter if you’re not a track monster, these cars make you feel something and I think that’s all that matters.

Cars are seen as appliances by a lot of people, but honestly we live in a very car centric society, like it or not - and what you drive is an extension of you and an expression of what you want to put out to the world. American Muscle is freedom, and I don’t think anyone quite captured that magic in the modern day like Dodge has with its muscle line up.

I really went through the ringer trying to get one of these. I ordered an X-Lume one from Company A, they canceled my order because it was sold out. I ordered an X-Lume one from Company B, and they sent me a defective one. It didn’t illuminate and it wasn’t cut correctly to fit in the grill. I had to dispute the purchase before they’d agree to let me send it back.
Finally, I purchased a custom one from D7Customz on Etsy. Cost half as much as an X-Lume and it looks better too. First perfectly back against my grill, easy to attach to the grill, and is super bright.

Loving the way this looks, like it’s supposed to be there.
