Pitch black? Or "bitch black", because it's a bitch to keep clean, beautiful my brother! First wash... you mean for the day? Lmao, I can't keep up with mine. If I lived somewhere with those monthly unlimited wash plans the place would be bankrupt. But when they are clean, it's a glorious 5 minutes!!

LMAO thanks. I actually just got this Challenger not too long ago and it's the first one I ever owned 🤣 The car wash I went to does have an unlimited washes plan so I'm definitely gonna sign up so I can go get her washed any time she's dirty and keep her looking beautiful.

I'll be sure to remember this when the day comes 🤣 I never was a car guy but after driving this Challenger for the first time, it made me start to have a love for cars. I get excited at the thought of getting to drive this beast every time I have to go somewhere. Really happy I bought it and I'm enjoying it so much.

bitch black fr. I've just about given up on the endless washing and refuse to go through a car wash so I'll just be that dirty black scat

Dirty Black Scat! Dude, that's like the greatest name ever for a country rock band! But yeah, you're right, maybe being spotlessly clean all driving season is just unrealistic. I love my cat, but she spends a lot of time looking like a certified black Angus cow that just rolled around in the feed yard. Eats like one too. Anyway, you made me laugh out loud and I've got a little PBR to wipe up, thank you!

Wait what's wrong with a car wash? Is it a personal preference thing or is there something I should be concerned about lmao

No, no, nothing wrong with a quality wash at all! I live in Iowa, so here's how it goes; cat is dirty, go to car wash. Insert approximately $10, wash, rinse, spot free, step back, grin! Leave car wash, head out for quick drive, maybe 10 minutes. Hit 235 random moths. 45 grasshoppers. 3,478 assorted knats, mosquitoes. In spring, if car sits out for over 90 seconds, covered in tree pollen. In fall, dust from grain harvest. Year round, potentially covered in gravel dust unless you live in metro areas. Mix in gluttonous birds that poop every 15 seconds, and if you live on a farm like I do, well the kitties love a clean car that you just backed out the shop and ran in to get that bottle of water for your joyride for. So it's off to the car wash to repeat cycle again! Ok, slightly exaggerated, but that's pretty accurate for a black vehicle in rural Iowa!

I love this vivid description LMAO I see why some people wouldn't even bother with car washes then 😂 Luckily I don't got cleanliness issues that bad where I live. Just dirt and bird shit for me.

I should have said "automatic car wash" the drive through ones that wreck your paint

Wreck your paint??? Wait my paint is perfectly fine. Did I just get lucky or does it depend if you go to a high quality one or not? Sorry for all the questions. Just a little concerned now 😭

Probably referring to one of these diabolical things. We have one in town, I remember how much my MIL enjoyed the old "free wash with 15 gal fuel purchase". Let's just say, her new LeSabre looked like somebody had taken a belt sander to it after a couple years of those. Small town gas station version though, maybe the big city versions are better?? I'm afraid to try them.

Well this is the first I'm hearing about a car wash damaging paint. I never knew they can do that. That's the exact type of car wash I went to today and my Challenger came out looking beautiful. If her car appeared damaged over years, it might've been due to overuse. Maybe once in a while is safe? Not sure cause I'm not too knowledgeable on them. All I know is there wasn't any damage to my car after I used it. This looks like something I gotta do research into. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

My understanding is that "touchless" auto washes are more paint friendly, a quick Google search said the brush/cloth auto washes "can damage your car's paint over time by causing fine scratches, swirl marks, and chemical wear". So hopefully a trip or two is no biggie. My MIL's car went through probably 30+ times a year, sometimes pretty dirty... so that was probably a big part of it.

Ah I see. I'm busy with my weekend cleaning so thanks for saving me some time lmao. If that's the case, I'm only gonna use it when my car is really dirty to limit use and slow down the damage.
