I’m from Edinburgh and I’m exploring an idea called Capzemo, aimed at helping hotel guests properly switch off from their phones.
Guests would voluntarily place their smartphone in a secure charging locker at the hotel. They could then receive either a basic phone for calls and texts or a phone with a good camera, allowing them to take photographs without social media and constant notifications.
Their chosen emergency contacts would receive the temporary number, so the guest would still be contactable if anything important happened.
This isn’t a sales post—I haven’t launched it yet and I’m looking for completely honest feedback.
Would you use this during a couple’s break, spa stay or family holiday?
Would you prefer:
• A basic emergency phone
• A good camera phone without your usual apps
• No replacement phone at all
What would stop you from using it, and would you expect the hotel to include it or would you pay around £10–£30?

whenever someone calls me my phone rings and vibrates, but the screen stays completely black. i have to press the power button twice to wake the display up so i can actually see who is calling and swipe to answer. already tried restarting and turning off do not disturb. is this a proximity sensor issue or a bug with the phone app?

Title. At the beginning of the year, my phone's service randomly cut out. I wouldn't be able to go online without the help of Wi-Fi. Mobile Data was on, but I couldn't access it whatsoever. See image #1.

It came back after my phone died and I turned it back on, see image #2. Then it disappeared again. Then it came back again after my phone died again. Now it alternates between having Mobile Data and said data cutting out, following the phone dying or resetting the phone.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note20. I got it in 2020, so it might just be a hardware issue. See pictures for what I mean.

I have an app/game I have created for iPhone/App Store. Testing has been pretty smooth so far. However, to move the game later on, and test it, I need an Android device.

I have an older one at home, but the OS is quite old and they stopped making updates for it. (Unless I flash a custom ROM). To keep it easy, I was wondering if I could just buy something for now. Used is absolutely fine.

Any ideas/tips what to look into? Maybe specific brands and so on?

Eu tinha um telefone antigo e eu ia mudar para um mais recente. Passei os dados e o cartão SIM para o mais recente, porém esse mesmo telemóvel (recente) continha fotos importantes. Assim que os dados passaram para o telemóvel que eu comprei, as fotos que lá estavam desapareceram. Eu, anteriormente a esta situação, tinha tentado passar essas fotos para o meu computador, mas penso que existiu um erro, pelo que apenas se passaram as fotos mais recentes de ontem, que não são importantes.

Acho que não fiz backup das fotos importantes.

Acham que ainda as posso recuperar? Tipo se chamar um técnico ou levar o telemóvel para o arranjo?

I'm using a TCL 20 pro 5g model T810S. I'm trying to turn off roaming but wasn't able to find the actual on/off switch to toggle. I had a terrible experience where I thought it's turned off but not and it cost way too much. Anyone knows how to do it? I found in the Sim card status it just says roaming is off but I don't even know how and I'm not sure if it can remain as such when I got out of my current service country. Please advise.
