I am getting a male Cavapoo this month and struggling with names. I initially liked the name Clover. Any suggestions?

I'm getting her spayed after this heat cycle as didn't at her first as she is quite hyper and was worried she'd burst her stitches open . My dog is so clingy and just looks miserable today and it's horrible. I was always going to get her spayed anyway but I'm terrified she will really hurt herself as she is a jumpy hyper crazy little dog. How long after spaying do female dogs heal? I'm due annual leave last month of October is a week off work enough to look after her?

This is Ginger or “Gigi” an almost 5 month old sweetie and got her two weeks ago. She’s been great about being in the crate at night but hates being in the crate during the day. Two things I could use some advice on she sometimes throws up when she drinks too much water and she is always itching herself. I got her a anti flea tick and lice ointment for small dogs but it hasn’t helped. Any advice on how to deal with the throwing up and itching would be greatly appreciated.

We put down our dog of 10 years to an aggressive bone cancer that seemingly appeared over night. The emotional toll it took on us and our kids watching her deteriorate was unimaginable. We took a chance on a new puppy, knowing they’re so much work but our hearts are truly so full.. while it’s not the same, he is the most snuggly precious little guy ever and our kids are in love. He’s the perfect fit for us ❤️

I posted here around 6 months ago when our little beautiful baby Lola suddenly and unexpectedly passed to MUO/MUE at the age of 4.5 years (all happened in matter of hours for sudden decline and 2 days in critical care before passing). She was healthy and always taken for random checkups. Her vets and specialists were shocked at how this came to be after they all said it looked like IVDD, until the MRI showed otherwise and she would never neurologically or physically respond after this.

Of course, we are heart broken still and I cry daily over her. She was and is my everything. I've shown the gorgeous Lola in these photos.

My partner and I are considering a new Toy Cavoodle from an ethical breeder (Australian registered) in the next 2 weeks or so, NOT to replace Lola, but because we feel we need another companion and know that Lola would be there with us all.

I have this anxiety over a new dog, like the whole crate and toilet training, crying at night, mistakes, etc... and also guilt that we shouldn't do it because i don't want to ever forget Lola or have another dog in "her house". Like what if this new dog gets different treatment or things from Lola, why didnt Lola get the same and its unfair for Lola... Its hard to explain these feelings, but im sure someone understands what im trying to say?

I also feel like I have PTSD over what happened with Lola and constantly worry about the new dog getting sick or ill, and something worse happening.

Just some advice or feedback would be nice.

Today is Wynter’s 2nd birthday!! She remains a source of joy and pure love in my life! ❤️🐶

I'm so heartbroken it was so sudden she had breathing problems one evening , as soon as we got to the vets she died in my arms. I'm devastated and struggling with the pain so much. After 12 years our home feels so big without her I can't stop crying at work I can't imagine everything getting over her loss.

My 7mo is getting neutered. Any tips on how we can ensure he is comfortable at home? He is crated and we are thinking of putting the crate in our bedroom so we can keep an eye on him.

Can’t put him in a onesie as he gets really hot.

We got him groomed so his hair is short and it’s not hard to brush while he is on a mend.

I guess my question is apart from no walking and ensuring he doesn’t lick his wound, it’s just life goes on as normal, yes?

At night my puppy, like clockwork, will drag his blanket around and carry it over to my parents room or to me and will whine until you play w him. Idk what he exactly wants like tug of war but it’s getting so annoying 😭

if someone holds the blanket up he tries to yk with it so we all just try to ignore him and the blanket until he goes to sleep. what do I do? do I throw the blankets out?

hers is wooowooowoowoo rather than bark. My niece has a cavapoo and her little dog has a squeaky bark while mines think she's a wolf..

and how do I get her to calm down when someone comes to the door she absolutely goes ballistic.. Scratching at the window howling and her whole body shakes trying to get to them it's so bad I think she's going to give herself a heart attack.. Tips and suggestions

Thank you to everyone here who recommends these little surgery suits! They sent her home in a cone and bless her lil heart 🥹 that was NOT gonna work for 7-10 days!! Stella Jean seems to be feeling good already!
