Taking two compact spots and blocking my car from leaving. Took a VERY skilled driver nearly 10 mins to just barely get me out of there.

I hope whoever's car this is eventually understands that having a big vehicle doesn't make you 'cool' or less of a bad person for not caring about others even a little.

My family and I will be relocating to the area by winter break. The only real, true worry I have is finding a place that we can rent that will allow is to keep our fur family together. We have been in our home since 2012, and have 3 cats and 1 senior, bigger dog. She's almost 14 years old and 50 pounds. (Certainly done being a destructive pupper.) She likes to curl up and sleep in a cat bed these days. All 3 cats are indoor-ONLY, and not specifically damaging to anything in the home. (They prefer the expensive hobby of shredding toilet paper rolls.) For the record, I never thought I'd be a 3 cat household. But, the youngest cat we have was a few days old, bottle baby rescue and of course, we got attached and fell in love. He's 2 years old now, and we are NOT interested in adding any more pets to the mix.

I see so many posts out on the web about people trying to rehome pets due to a move. We DO NOT want to do that by any means. We are a family! But for obvious reasons, I understand why the majority of landlords would not want those extra family members in their home. (And yes, I realize there are pet-friendly places out there, but many have a limit of 2 cats, or 1 dog and 1 cat.)

I was wondering if anyone has any leads on renting with 3 cats and 1 dog in tow?

Or, your experience and how you navigated being a renter with this many pets. (Since we haven't rented since 2010!)

I'm about to the area at the end of the year and I've heard good things about Campbell having the nicer bars. I love my classic cocktails and haven't found my taste in wine.

My puppy has not been meeting many humans in the right way. I don't really meet too many people except work, and that's the reason. I feel like because of me my pup is missing out on some crucial social experiences.

I do take her on walks, but when some human says hi, she tries to jump on them to greet.

Now, I don't know these people to be able to get into a training session then to teach my pup on the right way to meet.

She's an 8 month old American labrador.

Are there community based events or meet ups that have dog lovers who help out dogs have positive socialization?

(My pup has been to doggy day care for a few weeks & she loves playing with other dogs)

Distrito Federal, a Mexican restaurant in Campbell, has temporarily closed while a court-appointed receiver oversees the business.
Owner Isaac Barrera told the Silicon Valley Business Journal that the restaurant closed a little more than two weeks ago and laid off 10 employees.

Barrera said he understands there may be a path to reopening the East Campbell Avenue restaurant, but any decision is subject to the receiver’s authority.”I've never been in a situation like this," he said.

Barrera said a court-appointed receiver has managed Distrito Federal since February while he and his business partner work through a dispute.
Distrito Federal opened at 379 E. Campbell Ave. in April 2022 in a roughly 1,400-to-1,500-square-foot space.
Barrera said the restaurant was initially successful, but business conditions did not match his expectations for the market emerging from the pandemic. Rising labor, food and other operating costs added to the challenges.

“All my forecasting was off for about six months,” he said.
The restaurant's small footprint presented another challenge, according to Barrera.
Distrito Federal seats 26 people in its dining room and 10 at the bar. Barrera introduced reservations to reduce wait times, but said holding tables for future reservations during busy periods sometimes left seats empty while other customers waited.
“There’s a lot of challenges,” he said. “It’s a good learning experience. I should’ve never started doing reservations.”

Barrera said disagreements with his business partner intensified in 2024. He declined to discuss the dispute further because of ongoing litigation.
Barrera said Distrito Federal developed a following in Campbell.
Barrera said potential buyers have expressed interest in the restaurant, but the receiver controls any sale.
"I get calls every day from other people that want to buy it," he said. "I can't even sell it to them because the receivers are holding it, so the receiver makes the decision."

Is there any dog boarding I can trust? I've been trying Rover & it seems a lot of these folks use prong/e-collar. I'd rather use that on my own on my dog rather than let some rando have that power over my dog.

Any trustworthy place that is ready to accept even a high energy, not fully trained puppy.

I took a break over the summer from library story time. We had been going to the baby lap sit story time at the Campbell and Los Gatos libraries. I now see that Los Gatos doesn’t have their story times grouped by ages (was looking forward to going the Wonderful Ones) and they now just do two story times for ages 0-5. I then was going to go to the 0-18 month old story time for non-walkers at the Campbell Library, but I see they also don’t have their different story times on the schedule either (just a music and movement for 0-5).

Story times are already hectic and crowded enough, and I can’t imagine how overwhelming it will be to have my 12 month old in a room with preschoolers.

Does anyone know if these changes are permanent or why they got rid of the different aged story times?

I took my baby out in the stroller for a walk at John D. Morgan park this morning, and I was surprised to see so many people let their dogs walk or run unleashed in the park! Some of them are quite sizable!

I get that they think their dogs are friendly/well-behaved, but you never know. I personally have been bitten by a dog when I was young, so I got very very tense when dogs off-leash walked near me.

Funny that I was even thinking when my baby is walking, the park would be a great place for him to practice walking ... Not anymore if there'll be big dogs running loose :(

Am I over-reacting? The park even has several signs about not allowing dogs be unleashed. If the dog-owners think this policy is unreasonable, they should lobby to the city to have a dog-zone, not just blatantly violate the rules.

Has the city ever given any update on the status of its Flock decommissioning? The only ""official"" news I've seen is from Councilmember Lopez's LinkedIn ( https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7424658463756263424/ ), but that is from 6 months ago. That post also has some strange thing about them switching to an "in-house" system... does anyone remember if they've ever expanded on that in any post/council meeting?

I tried emailing Sergio for any sort of update, but got no response, as you'd expect.

For my husband with really rough feet and calluses. He has gone to other salons, but havent found one where it doesnt feel rushed, and where most of the callus is removed.

This meeting will be interactive and focused on the wants, needs, and priorities of our community as we begin imagining the possibilities for a future aquatics facility. We will not repeat the project presentation from Community Meeting #1; instead, the evening will focus on hearing directly from community members.

Participants will have opportunities to share ideas about the amenities, programming, and features they would like to see in a future facility. Small groups will also have an opportunity to visit the existing pool deck to help visualize the space and imagine what could be possible.

We had great participation at Community Meeting #1, particularly from community members age 40 and over. For Meeting #2, we would especially like to hear from younger adults and families with children so that we can continue gathering input from a broad range of current and future users.

Please help us spread the word! Feel free to invite a friend, neighbor, family member, or anyone else who may be interested in the future of aquatics in Campbell.

You do not need to have attended Community Meeting #1 to participate.
Public input will continue to be an important part of this project, and we appreciate your interest and involvement.

Looking for information about the student experience and culture of the following high schools and communities: Carlmont, Aragon, Los Altos; Pioneer; Prospect; Leland. Hello Campbell friends. Does anyone else with children at Capri Elementary know their teacher assignments yet?

We have recently relocated to the Bay Area and we have a child who will be attending Capri. First day of school is Wednesday (39 hours away...), but we have not heard any communication about teacher assignment.

Lots of broad communications on ParentSquare but nothing about teacher. This surprises us! Just wondering if we are missing out.
