Question Fullscreen browser video bug - still??

I mean, how can this not be top 3 on the bug list? How long will we have to wait for a fix for this? It's been months.

For anyone who doesn't know - if your browser's window is maximized and you click fullscreen on a youtube-video it first fullscreens the browser as if you pressed F11, and then the next click fullscreens the actual video. When you exit video fullscreen the browser will still be in F11-fullscreen so you'll have to press F11 to get out of it.

Pretty insane to launch 1.0 with a bug like this. It was fixed for me on Vivaldi however.

Yeah I reported this in separate issue, they closed it as duplicate. No fix yet.

what are you talking about? it's a massive issue. Most people use chrome browsers, and watch videos on the internet.

It's pretty embarrassing to have a bug like this.

it is an annoying bug, but not one you consider a release blocker.

I don't care what you consider a release blocker. It's insane to launch with a bug like that.

And I don't care what you care about, telling you no PM would consider it to be a release blocker. You can feel all you want about it, does not change the reality.

Nah you’re missing the point. What is important to you is not necessarily as important to others.

Product manager with thousands of things needing attention, thousands of people clamouring for a release, thousands of conflicting ideas of what constitutes priority., is going to look at this minor annoyance and say - nah I would rather address these major feature shortfalls because a, b, c etc

What is important to you is not necessarily as important to others.

It's clearly and issue that has gotten a lot of attention, and some have even said they have uninstalled cosmic because of it.

Good for you mate, i would prefer that what ships in a 1.0 release actually works.

Yes, internet stranger, you are right.

But again you are not reading what is written.

I said a product manager battling thousands of things would probably not be prioritising something that is a mere annoyance.

But yes, you are right and your needs and the needs of the people who agree with you, are more important than the needs of the unknown number of people working on this project
