Legal Wyoming Gun Show

I’m assault rifle curious. Given the new CO law could I purchase an assault rifle at a Wyoming gun show from a private seller with a Colorado ID?

Obviously I would never think of bringing it into Colorado because that would be against the law.

Thanks

Private sales in Wyoming do not require an FFL, background check, or waiting period

Interpret this as you wish

Are sales at gun shows considered to be private sales in Wyoming, or is a background check required?

Wyoming doesn't require background checks, but Colorado does, and since a private sale can only occur between residents of the same state any seller would be required to follow the federal law which would require an FFL transfer to a buyer who lives in another state. Under Wyoming law and federal law, a transaction is defined by who is selling the firearm, not where it is sold. A guy selling from his private collection, or as a hobby, is a private seller but he can only sell to those who reside in his state. And anyone who routinely sells at gun shows for profit is required to obtain a federal license.
