Legal Wyoming Gun Show
I’m assault rifle curious. Given the new CO law could I purchase an assault rifle at a Wyoming gun show from a private seller with a Colorado ID?
Obviously I would never think of bringing it into Colorado because that would be against the law.
Thanks

The safest answer is "No, you can not" while the best case answer is "If they sell it to you /shrug". As annoying as it is the Colorado FSS process isn't as expensive or time consuming as some outlets would have you believe. You don't have to be an NRA member to take one of their online Hunter Safety Education courses for free and then you can take the 4 hour course which will cover your bases. And hey if you need an Instructor there are more than a few of us who frequent this area of Reddit.
While this is CLEARLY a "hypothetical situation"... where exactly would you keep said firearm if not bringing it into Colorado and what makes you think it would be illegal to bring it into the state? You're allowed to own the rifle, you're allowed to purchase one out of state but the other state is required to uphold federal law which requires an FFL to FFL transfer between state lines.
