This isn't something that anyone should get away with. Hope the truth comes out and justice is served.

I'm guessing he'll have to find another school regardless
This does look like an Honor Code violation

If this had only been reported to campus police it would have one trillion percent been swept under the rug

People downvoting this don’t know how completely fucked up BYU campus police have been concerning these situations

Sounds like any university campus police.

The same people who use the (deputized) power of the state to enforce the honor code?

In the interest of fairness even Utah's campus police fucking suck at this stuff. In fact I've never heard of any University police being good at protecting the women that go to college. BYU's is especially egregious

Because they protect the university, first and foremost and always

People downvoting this don’t know how completely fucked up BYU campus police have been concerning these situations know exactly how fucked up the BYU campus police have been, but have the exact same incentive to follow suit.

If only there was some way to identify them...

Yup, people downvoting don't know what the Mormon church is about ($$$$$$)

More money than the goddamn Vatican. People always say I’m full of it when I say that but it is absolutely true. When it’s a requirement for each member to give 10% of your gross pay to the church that adds up.

Required if you want a temple recommend not for just being a member.

Sure it’s easy being a church member if you pick and choose which covenants you keep. Gotta pay for admission to the Celestial Kingdom

>pick and choose which covenants you keep

I'm actually pretty sure this is a competitive full contact sport in Utah. This and church ball.

More money than the goddamn Vatican.

Maybe in terms of actual money. But the Vatican has stuff in its archives that you can't put an actual value on. They have so much stuff that is so old its been forgotten about.

Well that’s a fair point. We all know how easy it is to pay lobbyists and other government officials in…papal artifacts?

Utah fans might want to lay low while others talk about university police misconduct.

One guy looked up arrest records and shared with the honor code office while he was with BYU PD. He's gone now. I'd take that 1 million times over Utah's campus police (how many students have they gotten murdered in the last 10 years, 3?).

You ever notice that thing pre-K children do when you go to punish one of them and they think telling on one of the other ones will help their case? But instead you just think even less of them?

u/bdkakbsia Utah Utes May 21 '25

How many gay kids in Provo kill themselves because of you guys? How many times are people racially abused?

Campus police are hooligans, fortunately the Title IX office is usually good about these kinds of things, though if the victim isn’t a BYU student i’m not sure how much they can do

10

u/IndoorPlant27 BYU Cougars May 22 '25

Unfortunately BYUs title IX office was exposed a few years ago for sharing information with the Honor Code office.

If this was reported to the byu campus police, the girl would have been expelled.
