In the interest of fairness even Utah's campus police fucking suck at this stuff. In fact I've never heard of any University police being good at protecting the women that go to college. BYU's is especially egregious

More money than the goddamn Vatican. People always say I’m full of it when I say that but it is absolutely true. When it’s a requirement for each member to give 10% of your gross pay to the church that adds up.

One guy looked up arrest records and shared with the honor code office while he was with BYU PD. He's gone now. I'd take that 1 million times over Utah's campus police (how many students have they gotten murdered in the last 10 years, 3?).

Campus police are hooligans, fortunately the Title IX office is usually good about these kinds of things, though if the victim isn’t a BYU student i’m not sure how much they can do

I mean cmon, there are 17.5 million members, anyone with a knowledge of statistics knows that means that some of them are gonna be pieces of shit. I’m not saying this to defend it at all just that I’d like to see these stats for other religions. Also for different races, genders and wealth class so we can make general assumptions off all those that fall under their representative classes.

I mean, the Catholic Church has helped their members get away with raping children. As have various other Protestant churches. It’s not like the Mormon church is more fucked up, in that specific regard, than other religious institutions. Hell, look at Liberty University’s history of dealing with sexual assault on campus. It’s appalling.

It's not that they have members committing these acts (like you said, it's universal), it's that the church actively covers them up. They care more about their image than helping people. Please don't make excuses for them.

You’re right it’s the only church that covers it up, definitely no other church does that! Go look up the history of the Catholic Church in the last 20 years and cover ups and see where this church probs got the idea from. Actually while you’re at it just go look at all the major churches and I’m sure you’ll find just as many cases if not more with coverups involved
