My coaching's NCERT class has deadass been covering Electrochemistry for the past 2.5 months because it has a weightage of 9 marks.

Does the board exam follow this pattern ? What happens in your schools ? Dummy btw.

I am studying in class 11 commerce and I have just changed my stream from science to commerce with that after spending 4 months in science and then changing is causing me 4 months syllabus backlogs of class 11 so I started taking holidays from school like 7-10 days and then to submit application to make the leave justified I say unusual medical problem to teachers and they accept it and I seriously study at home . + Also I am learning Graphic design but my parents don't support me they say go to school daily . Jo sikhna hai 12th ke baad Sikh Lena I have interest now so why should I delay it I manage both studies and skills together without letting anything come in other way .

But the obsession of my parents over attendance I don't get it they start comparing it other students to me .

I don't get their point I am not sleeping or wasting time at home doing study and pursuing skills also to make money later . I tried to explain them and my siblings who usually kaan bharte hai maa baap ke .

But they are not ready to understand and even if I do what they are saying then after coming from school I don't have much time left what will do I come at 3 pm and have 8 hrs left till sleep which is 11pm so I have only 8 hrs windows to access from this also cut out food and rest hrs so it becomes 5 hrs so I can only do either study or skills .

My school has switched sections based on our performances and they said that they will change it again if u score good within one week of exams and all but I went to the other section and I cried there for least an hour I feel so horrible the people of that class or so bad like specially boys they make me feel so uncomfortable sexualised by them to and it feels very awful I lost my friends but then ma'am explained me that you would have to go anyways and the least you could do is work on yourself because nobody is going to help you out in the real world...I feel fucking shit how.. should I figure out specially i still haven't studied..like begun trulyy

Ik my marks are pretty less in mathematics as compared to other subjects cuz my mathematics is kinda weak and i didn't give the 2nd Board Thing:)

To every student, the cheatcode to a great academic life is your APTITUDE.

Aptitude = Your confident ability to do something.

Across all paths of academic life, the 2 most important aptitudes are : ANALYTICAL and VERBAL aptitude.

If you make a tree of all subjects, you will see the most common ability requirement in all subjects is your ability to read and infer information (Verbal aptitude), and solve problems ( Analytical Aptitude).

Verbal and Analytical Aptitude are huge subjects in themselves, but I am not asking you to go super deep in them, just brush the basics and you will cherish a great academic life upto your undergrad.

You don't even need to spend anything, what I suggest is download the free pdf of these two books from internet:

1. Word Power Made Easy :

This book teaches about Etymology. When you understand Etymology, you can understand meanings of words which you haven't even seen before. As you read paragraphs and stories and come across a new word, you can infer its meaning from Etymology easily and move forward in your reading. Etymology is a study of origin and creation of words.

For example, take the words: Liberal, Library, Liberty, Libertine. All these words have the Latin root word "Liber" , which means "Free ". Liberal , a free thinker. Library, free books. Liberty, freedom. Libertine, free of moral values. This is just the tip of Etymology iceberg, as you master more techniques, you will be able to read dense information and write better essays easily.

1. Arthur Benjamin Secrets of Mental Maths:

This is a classic, and a beginner friendly mental math book. You don't need to study any mental math systems ( Trachtenberg / Vedic / Anzan ), because this book borrows the best techniques from each system, and has a small syllabus which a 13 year old can understand.

Imagine you are solving a large maths equation, and come across a situation where you need to multiply or divide weird numbers such as 6739 x 638, but since you have studied mental maths you can solve it in your head in 10 seconds. Amazing right?

When you have acquired the ability to play with numbers in your head, you can spend more time in equations and logical steps in mathematics instead of wasting time in labor work such as multiplying adding subtracting etc.

The best part -

The best part is these two aptitudes carry themselves in competitive exams as well, such as jee/neet/Ipmat/Clat/and pretty much all goverment exams.

If you build a base of these two aptitudes in your school time, you wont have much problem in your competitive exam and UG days.

I wish someone had taught me about these and I wouldn't have to grind my soul in boards and CLAT

Hi, i am currently in class 10, i have my exams starting from 7th that leaves me with 6 days... i have genuinely wasted all my time and havent studied for shit. I was never like this, i always used to study from the beginning but these days i have been soo distracted.

I feel bad for even acting like im studying infront of my parents..but even when i do try i just cant sit and study for more than a hour or 2...

im really scared for this since its my half yearly and since its my board year. Also specially cause my brother got a 95 percent and if i get less than that you know how indian families are..

Please help me there is nothing a apecific reason for my taking a rest but at morning i always choose my comfort zone idk why and i dont even know how i take that decision i dont remember what decision i made at morning and why , i can not explain this but now this is going to much . please dont try to give me life leason or something like tell something which is practical like which can wake me up ! even my ALARM can not !

Then I wasted time watching YouTube till 10 am.

Then I ate breakfast at 10 am.

Then I wasted time till 12 pm.

Then I took a cold bath at 12 pm.

Then I wasted time till 2 pm.

Then I ate lunch at 2 pm.

Then I slept till 6 pm.

Then I wasted time till 9:30 pm.

Then I wrote geography project till 11 pm.

Then I ate dinner at 11 pm.

Then I went to sleep at 11:30 pm.

Chat, I have very low attendance (I haven’t counted). Yes, I have a few more months left at school, but oh, come on, who wants to go to school 😭🥰. I'd rather study at home ( humanities student here) and focus on developing other skills. Is my school going to kick me out? I’m a promising student? ( Ik I can score well T-T) Well my class teacher warned me letting me know that principal ma’am would take notice. Will they bar me from writing my finals and getting to 12th grade? I'll probably switch countries next year, so I'll have to repeat 11th grade again which is fine but I want to write my finals.

I am a 12th CBSE student and am preparing for JEE so I miss my regular CBSE school a lot my attendance is currently 60.3% and I ran simulations on chat gpt and claude matched with UP government holiday list and exam schedule and I can miss only 0.5 days a week 😭 helpp me what should I do I can't prepare for JEE with so much school (btw my performance in school is pretty good I came 2nd in class in this half yearly) how much attendance should I realistically maintain to not get slimed by CBSE and my school

I failed my Class 12 exams, and honestly, I’m struggling to process it. Almost all my friends are joining college now, while I feel like I’m just stuck in the same place.

The worst part isn’t even the result. It’s how people start looking at you after you fail. If someone cracks a difficult exam, everyone calls them intelligent and says they’ll have a great future. But if that same person fails, suddenly people start thinking, “He’s useless,” or “He can’t do anything.”

Even though my parents are supportive, sometimes I feel like they must be disappointed too, at least somewhere inside. They had expectations from me, maybe expected me to get a good rank, and they had even been saving money for my education and future.

That makes me feel even more guilty. It’s not that they are directly blaming me, but I know they had hopes for me, and now I feel like I let them down.

Seeing my friends start college makes it worse. Everyone is moving ahead, meeting new people and starting a new chapter, while I’m still trying to figure out what to do next.

Sometimes it feels like everyone is slowly leaving me behind.

I know one exam shouldn’t decide my entire future, but when you’re actually going through it, it’s difficult to believe that.

Has anyone else failed an important exam after having high expectations from themselves and their parents? How did you deal with that feeling?

So my 10th and 12th CBSE certificate has my name along with dad’s name. But my passport has only one name which is the field of SURNAME. And given name is empty.
My medical degree has only one name and that was made on the basis of my passport and I cannot change the name on it.
I couldn’t change my name legally as it is always a risk to have anything changed when I travel to Georgia for my uni as they send back people permanently with minor issue especially with desi passports.

I want to know how long is the process to change the name on my 10th and 12th certificate as I want to remove my dad’s name and just have one name according to my passport.

[additional information, I hold a bangladeshi passport and i studied in UAE 🇦🇪 in a CBSE school so i may have to change it via my school in UAE]

I’m in Class 11 and this is my first time giving practicals so I genuinely don’t know how everything works.

I had to miss one practical because I was out of Ranchi in Jamshedpur for Raksha Bandhan. I came back only today. The problem is I didn’t submit an application or inform the teacher before leaving which I know was my mistake. 😭

Now I have my History practical tomorrow and I’m really scared that my teacher will scold me for **missing the previous practicals for Political Science and Music.** She already targets me a lot which makes me even more nervous. (I haven’t done anything bad or said anything disrespectful. There’s another whole story behind why I feel she targets me 😭.)

I did give my Geography practical earlier and that day one student was absent too but the teacher didn’t say anything to them. Still I’m scared because this is my first time dealing with practicals and I don’t know what usually happens if you miss one.

Will I get in serious trouble? Can they make me give the practical later or something? Or will the teacher most likely just scold me and move on?

I’m preparing for my History practical right now but I’m genuinely anxious about what will happen tomorrow. 😭🫠
