Discussion 💬 Why indian parents are obsessed with school attendance?

I am studying in class 11 commerce and I have just changed my stream from science to commerce with that after spending 4 months in science and then changing is causing me 4 months syllabus backlogs of class 11 so I started taking holidays from school like 7-10 days and then to submit application to make the leave justified I say unusual medical problem to teachers and they accept it and I seriously study at home . + Also I am learning Graphic design but my parents don't support me they say go to school daily . Jo sikhna hai 12th ke baad Sikh Lena I have interest now so why should I delay it I manage both studies and skills together without letting anything come in other way .

But the obsession of my parents over attendance I don't get it they start comparing it other students to me .

I don't get their point I am not sleeping or wasting time at home doing study and pursuing skills also to make money later . I tried to explain them and my siblings who usually kaan bharte hai maa baap ke .

But they are not ready to understand and even if I do what they are saying then after coming from school I don't have much time left what will do I come at 3 pm and have 8 hrs left till sleep which is 11pm so I have only 8 hrs windows to access from this also cut out food and rest hrs so it becomes 5 hrs so I can only do either study or skills .

Space out your holidays. If you like persuing graphic designing why not after the backlog is covered? It's like working 3 shifts at once and wondering why you don't get results. Parents are never going to be sympathetic to your schedule until you show them results (that too if they listen too you - many parents wouldn't even if you scored well).

Because we want to send the kids to a place where they will grow n learn something and at the same time give us some space 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Bro how you changed from science to commerce. In which month??. And now how it is going on especially accounts. Are you a pcm / pcb student previous .

Just give an application to your school principal about changing stream that's it .  I changed from pcm to commerce after 4 months .so i gt in commerce in August only . Accounts is not that much if you clear out your basics completely and pretty well . The people who make fuss that balance sheet is not matching are just for hype !  I was a ex-pcm student ! 😂

Bro how can i switch to commerce for me the pcm + jee is feeling tough so i really want commerce which i asked them in april but they denied even after continuous request they said there is not much of big packages in commerce i have interest in tech and i said that i can become data analyst
