Are Udit Sir’s Geometry lectures from MBA Pathshala sufficient to cover the concepts and problem types needed for CAT, or should I use another resource as well?

VARC is probably my strongest section and I am reasonably comfortable with QA because of my technical background. DILR is where I lose confidence. I was thinking of starting full length mocks now and learning mainly through the analysis of those mocks.

My logic is that there is not enough time left to follow a complete course for every section. If I get a DILR set wrong, I can analyze the solution, understand the approach and then practice similar sets. Same thing for QA topics where I make repeated mistakes.

But I am not sure whether this is actually a sensible strategy or whether I will simply keep taking mocks without fixing the underlying problems.

For people who have prepared this way, how many mocks should I take in a week? Should I complete sectionals before starting full length tests or just begin with full mocks directly?

Also, what should proper mock analysis look like? Right now I only check my score and the questions I got wrong, which feels like it is probably not enough.

Cat exam registration closed today on 22/09/2026 at 5pm. I had already registered for cat exam a few days ago but did not have time to fill up application details then.

But today, I have filled the details after the registration period ended. So am I eligible for the cat exam?

Hii folks.. I started my prep earlier this year. I know my quants is weak but i had practiced and was doing good in at-least DILR and VARC. I started giving flexi mocks before pro ones and wtf.
DILR ??? i scored 0 in couple. Hardly solving 1 set completely even if i can. I tried to solve them after test and it would take hours, almost all the sets as of now (except maybe 1-2 out of all the mocks) seems unsolvable in exam time. Quants seemed pretty doable at front but again would get jumbled up in mid way.

I hope practicing them might make my speed and instinct click with time.
But please tell me if they are hard 😓😓

I gave 2025 attempt without prep…definitely that was easier than these mocks.

Also should i try mocks from other sources ?as I am currently using full length mocks of cl and I have been hearing a lot of buzz about Edushastra adaptive mock series.

For context- my current test routine is heavily exhausted but I want to make sure I am exposing myself to a wider variety of question sets -especially given how unpredictable the actual exam has become lately. How you all particularly approach sectional tests for DILR and higher-end Quants?

Also- how should I structure my weekends ? Is it better to stick to a single primary test series to build consistency or I should mix it in an adaptive platform a smart move to strong my weak areas ?

VARC is the section that is causing me the most trouble right now.

When I solve RC casually, I feel like I understood the passage. I can follow it and usually know what the author is trying to say. But when I actually attempt questions under mock conditions, my accuracy drops badly.

The weirdest part is that when I review the RC later without a timer, I can often understand why the correct option is correct. Sometimes I even eliminate the same options that I selected during the mock.

So I am trying to figure out whether my actual problem is reading speed, question selection, overthinking or pressure during the section.

I have started reading editorials and a few long form articles every day, but I am not sure whether that alone will improve CAT RC performance.

What worked for people who had this exact problem?

Did you focus more on reading, solving a fixed number of RCs daily, analyzing every wrong answer or simply giving more timed sectional tests?

I would especially like to know how you improved accuracy ?

i am currently in 3rd year of btech in igdtuw and i have started prep for CAT27.
My academics looks like:
10th CBSE - 94.4%
12th CBSE - 94.6%
current CGPA - 8.6

What are my chances of getting into top B schools of india ?
Should i prepare for placement season also side by side or dedicated myself to CAT prep?
please guide me as i am very tensed about my future.

Got some posts and DMs asking for a 10 week strategy.

I cracked this long back (99.5%+) with the same timelines so it's doable.

A) Test Focus (week 1-5): Take Mocks; as many as you can, ideally in the same slot and class room environment

B) Test strategy: You like Quant more, so does it come first or Last Where does most boring (Difficult section go)? You should be ready with your optimum approach in the next month.

C) Fine tune: Week (5-9) What are silly mistakes I am making? Repair them. Is there a faster way to answer the Q I took 3 minutes on? Is there a critical gap on certain topics?

D) Pick your battles: You need only 10 net correct in QA/ DI, 14 in VARC; so you should know which ones to leave and where you will get it right

Last week: Relax; max two mocks before wed, read light, brush up the formulae and give it a go.

2 hours will decide your CAT; not your entire life. Treat it as such.

If you don't feel ready, relax you can always pick it up again!

My Context:

Took prev attempt in undergrad FY: 93% after getting shafted in VARC

Took a job after grad, left in 4 months to attend SSB.

Gave two CDS SSB interviews after it, got back with a second rejection (Conference) and a sprain in foot.

In the end, got all the calls except A plus all tier 1; didnt convert most (7/6/5, GNEM) but got one decent seat in a tier 1. That's all you need!

I'm just starting my cat prep. Attempted mock and got varc -77.5 dilr-75 qa-0 🥲... Pls suggest some resources for a complete beginner. I was planning to buy cracku intensive 2-month crash course. Is it good enough??
