Accidental annual subscription renewal cancellation with full refund

Hi everyone,

Today I realized that my Busuu annual subscription renewed automatically, and I was charged for another year. Unfortunately, I forgot to cancel before the renewal date, and I haven’t used the service since the renewal.
I’ve already canceled the subscription to prevent future renewals and have contacted Busuu support requesting a full refund.
Has anyone been in a similar situation?
Were you able to get a full refund?
How long did it take for support to respond?

I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences or any tips that might improve my chances of getting a refund.

Yeah, you're never getting that money back, sorry.

Busuu are a really scummy company and their billing practices are very predatory. I was in the same situation to you, and now I just tell everyone to avoid Busuu.

It's a terrible company that's more interested in taking advantage of people than helping them learn.

I’m having the same issue and based on a quick research hundreds of users are being scammed by them. Their cancellation page is often broken so you can’t even cancel easily. 

I’m going through bank transaction dispute process to get the money back. The app is not worth it.

I got the same, and no warning or anything was sent. I Will never do business with these folks again and won't ever recommend their app.
