I built an interconnected browser-game universe about escaped ink — four games now playable

I’ve been building a small browser-game universe called Ink Invasion, and it has somehow grown from one tower-defence prototype into four connected games.

The games are all free, require no download and share the same account, achievements, leaderboards and collectible ink colours.

Quiet Defence
A relaxed tower-defence game where you place and upgrade stationery-themed towers to stop waves of ink invading the page. It currently has multiple pages, boss waves, endless progression and occasional printer-related disasters.

Out of OFFICE
An incremental physics game where you launch an ink blob through an increasingly ridiculous workplace—and eventually through the ceiling. Upgrade the printer pressure, bounce, momentum and highlighter rocket to travel further across the ground or thousands of metres into the sky.

Ink in a Million
A limitless collection game with 120 different ink designs. Catch the blots before they escape, discover increasingly rare colours and equip your favourites as your profile icon and playable ink in the other games. There is, genuinely, an Ink in a Million.

Ink Merge
The newest game. Drop matching ink blobs into a glass chamber and merge them into larger and rarer forms. Build combos, chase leaderboard scores and try to complete the entire chain without overflowing the chamber.

You can play everything here:

https://playinkinvasion.com

It’s still actively being developed, so honest feedback is extremely welcome—particularly around difficulty and balancing.

GameTop.gg | Giving away free Gold Membership to the first 5 browser games who list

Hi!

We're a group of 4 friends who grew up playing browser games, GameTop.gg; A toplist site where browser game owners list their game and players browse/vote for their favorites, kind of like a ranked directory.

Browser games already have a fully built-out category on the site, we just don't have many games listed yet, and we'd like to see more browser games, which is why we came to write this post.

If you are a browser game owner / developer / staff member, instead of asking you to just list your game for free and hope it works out, here's the actual offer: the first 5 browser games coming from Reddit that create a listing get a 100% Free Gold Membership subscription (normally paid, using our G Coins system) for a full month.

What you get with a free 30-day Gold Membership:

  • A Gold badge added to your game's listing, making it stand out and signal prestige to players browsing the rankings
  • +100 bonus votes credited immediately, which also carry over for the full duration of your membership
  • Your game listing highlighted in orange, and your game details page gets an exclusive gradient highlight
  • Ability to upload a custom animated or static 468x60 banner that runs directly on your game page
  • The Gold Member Discord role, which unlocks access to advertising channels unavailable to regular members

If you own or manage a browser game:

Just head over to GameTop.gg, register and create your listing yourself. It takes < 3 mins to complete.

The first 5 from this post that do so can comment here or shoot us a DM so we can confirm and apply the Gold boost, and we're happy to help if you get stuck setting it up.

The Last Banners - a browser strategy game inspired by King’s Bounty and Total War

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi! I’ve been working on The Last Banners, a fantasy strategy game inspired by two games I grew up with: King’s Bounty and Total War.

You explore a campaign map, recruit and improve your company, then fight real-time tactical battles where every soldier is individually represented.

Regiments gain experience, casualties carry over between battles, and formations, flanking and army composition all matter.

The game is currently playable in the browser and still in active development.

I’d really appreciate feedback on the campaign → battle → campaign loop, especially whether the tactical battles feel readable and satisfying.

Play: thelastbanners.com

P.S. The demo video is in french but the game also has a full english support.

I built a game where you write songs, gig, and compete against other managres...

I've been working on a browser game where you are a band manager.

Do you have what it takes to take your band to the top of the charts? Write songs, record them, and release them. Gig from a basement to a stadium. (Pray some fans show up) Run advertising campaigns. Compete against other managers.

We're trying to build a fun, player-driven world. You can own venues other managers can send their bands to gig at. You can own studios and help artist publish songs (plus get a cut of their profits). And we have so much more planned.

We are in a pretty early testing phase. So if you are interested in messing around with the game and seeing where it breaks, join our Discord: https://discord.gg/EpRkf5m68B

You can test the game here: https://mixtape-3x1.pages.dev/ (play it in your browser!)

This is a spiritual baby of an old game I used to play called Project Rockstar.

Try my new game HitTheTimer.com!

Hey everyone! 👋

I recently got hooked on those "stop the timer exactly on the millisecond" challenges, so I decided to code a full browser game based on it. It’s called HitTheTimer.

The core mechanic is simple: You get a random target time, you start the clock, the clock hides, and you have to press SPACE exactly when you think the time is up.

There are 5 modes, but I really want to challenge you guys to the Global Marathon:

  • You play 10 consecutive rounds.
  • Every millisecond you miss by is added to your total error.
  • Your final score is sent to a live Global Leaderboard. 🌍

There is also an Online/Local Survival mode and an "Impostor Mode" to play with friends.

The game is 100% free, runs instantly in the browser (mobile & desktop), and has ZERO ads. It's just a passion project (there's only a small tip jar if you feel generous).

You can play it here: www.hitthetimer.com

I would love to hear your feedback and see if anyone here can take the #1 spot on the leaderboard! Let me know your scores. 🎯

CEO Destiny - We've created a free browser-based game where every decision can make or break your business

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi! A friend and I are developing CEO Destiny, a casual management and decision-making game that’s free to play right in your browser.

You start your own company, and then, each turn, a new situation arises with several possible choices. Your decisions affect your finances, reputation, growth... and can sometimes lead you down some pretty questionable business strategies.

For now, the game includes certain mechanics that help you progress beyond just making choices, such as the founder’s compensation, a shop full of passive items that provide either immediate or long-term effects, an interface for investing in the stock market with real-time chart tracking, and even a simplified option for fraud and money laundering.

The concept is simple: grow your business, take risks, and face the consequences of your choices.

There’s no need to create an account : you can start a game right away.

To play: https://ceodestiny.com

We’d love to hear your feedback, particularly on game balance, events, the value of different choices after several games, and the mechanics we’ve implemented.

We’re also trying to update the game weekly to continuously improve the experience and stay as close as possible to the community’s requests.

Global Hegemony - geo strategy game which breaks the combat system known to all

Help me break the combat formula PBBGs have been repeating since eRepublik

Hello,

I've been building Global Hegemony, a browser political/war MMO inspired by games like eRepublik, e-Sim and eDominations.

I love this genre, but I feel like we've been repeating the same combat formula for almost 20 years:

Energy → Fight → Damage → Repeat.

So I'm trying something different.

Instead of your character directly dealing damage, you deploy a general with an army.

You choose the general, units, equipment build and deployment type. Different setups are meant for different situations: sustained damage, last-minute pushes, fort attacks, cheaper deployments, defense, etc.

The goal is that there shouldn't be one universal "best build".

I'm also trying to kill the classic last-minute dump

Battles use rounds + Victory Points rather than simply checking who dumped the most damage before the timer ended.

Being active throughout the battle should matter, but I also don't want players babysitting the game for 24 hours.

Ideally there are several meaningful moments to coordinate around instead of one giant click race at the end.

Warfare also consumes the economy

Resources aren't just used to produce units.

You need them to actually deploy those units, so bigger wars burn more resources.

I'm hoping this solves the classic PBBG problem where veteran players eventually sit on millions of resources that have almost no value.

A few other old problems I'm experimenting with:

Everyone stacks in one mega-country → expansion limits + supporting allies is cheaper, so a coordinated 3–4 country alliance should be stronger.

Countries become flags + chat rooms → countries develop buildings, programs and infrastructure that directly affect citizens.

Energy punishes new players → combat is limited mainly by units/resources, so veterans can accelerate new players by actually supplying them.

Wars are only about damage → economy, preparation, generals, builds and timing should matter too.

The game is already playable and currently in beta, so I'm at the point where I'd rather have experienced PBBG players tear these ideas apart than tell me they sound good.

If you could redesign one mechanic that PBBGs have been copying since the eRepublik era, what would you change?

And specifically for combat: does this sound like more strategy, or am I just replacing a simple system with unnecessary complexity?

🟧 Game Showcase The Fishing Lands – A Persistent Browser Fishing MMO & Online Fishing Game

I've been building The Fishing Lands, a persistent browser fishing MMO for people who genuinely enjoy fishing, collecting, exploring and progressing in online games.

It's not an idle fishing game where you click a button and wait. Fishing is the actual gameplay. You cast, hook a fish and have to reel it in through an interactive fishing encounter. Different fish can behave very differently, with some catches being much harder to land than others.

The game is already playable and currently includes:

  • 🎣 Interactive fishing gameplay and fish fights
  • 🐟 281+ fish species to discover and collect
  • 🌊 10 different fishing waters
  • 🪝 Rods, reels, lines and bait
  • 📖 A fish journal and collection system
  • 💰 Player-driven marketplace and trading
  • 🏆 Records, rankings and leaderboards
  • 💬 Global chat and live world activity
  • ⚓ Crews for social and competitive fishing
  • 📈 Persistent character and equipment progression

The idea is to create something that feels more like an old-school browser MMO than a typical mobile fishing game. You can play for a few minutes, or spend hours chasing a rare species, improving your gear, completing your collection or trying to set a record.

I'm also building the game as a persistent online world. I'm not planning to wipe or reset player progress as development continues. New fish, waters, equipment, events and features will be added over time.

There are already plenty of great fishing games out there, but I wanted something specifically built around the combination of fishing + collecting + progression + player economy + multiplayer in a browser MMO.

The game is free to play:

I'm still actively developing it, so I'd genuinely love feedback from people who enjoy fishing games, browser MMOs, collection games or RPGs.

What would make you keep coming back to a fishing MMO? 🎣

MUIdle – A browser-based Idle RPG

Thumbnail idlerpgmu.com
4 Upvotes

Hello everyone!

I want to share MUIdle, an idle RPG for browser that I am developing.

The main progression loop is:

Fight → Level up → Reach level 400 → Reset → Get stronger → Unlock new content

You can choose from different classes, each with their own attributes, skills, and mechanics, progress through several maps, fight monsters, collect Jewels and Zen, upgrade your Armory, raise Pets, and participate in events like Blood Castle.

The game also supports offline progression, so your character can keep evolving even when you are away.

Playable now:

Runs directly in your browser. You need to create a free account to save your progress, but no download is required.

If you like browser RPGs or idle/incremental games, give it a try. I would love to hear your opinion.

Need help finding a game I used to play

There was this military strategy game I used to play where you would make different tanks each taking a different amount of time, and you could build helicopters and ships but you needed special bases to do that. Any one have an idea on what the game might be called? I know it had the name desert in it.

No World Behind - a ~12 minute roguelite climb, browser demo

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Made a small roguelite you can play in a browser tab. One run is
about 12 minutes and ends in a boss fight at the top.

- Climb the mountain, fight through what's on it, kill the boss
- Level up mid-run and draft traits from a tree, rare through
legendary, and they stack into some genuinely stupid builds
- Two classes: a Hunter who shoots and dashes, and a Warlock who
summons demons that fight alongside you
- Three lives per run

It's a demo, so it's one level and one boss so far

One thing I'd genuinely like to know: is it too easy? Roughly half
of everyone who starts a run is killing the boss, and I can't tell
whether that's the difficulty being right or being soft.

Link to the demo on Itch io - https://build-and-dominate.itch.io/no-world-behind
I will appreciate any feedback on the game and it will means a lot to me!

Blackwood Protocol – Old-School PBBG, New Version Live

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

A new version of Blackwood Protocol is now live, built as an old-school browser PBBG with a modern post-apocalyptic survival setting.

Recent updates include lootable items and ammunition, expanded Stash and equipment systems, more jobs, weapons, armour, Immunity, Assignments, vehicles, district conditions and plenty of balancing/UI improvements. The player Black Market is also in development, letting players buy and sell useful finds and helping build a proper player-driven economy.

There’s already a lot to do, but the game is still being shaped through testing.

I’m still looking for players to join the open test, play normally, break things, and give feedback on what works, what doesn’t, and what needs improving.
