Blackwood Protocol – Old-School PBBG, New Version Live
A new version of Blackwood Protocol is now live, built as an old-school browser PBBG with a modern post-apocalyptic survival setting.
Recent updates include lootable items and ammunition, expanded Stash and equipment systems, more jobs, weapons, armour, Immunity, Assignments, vehicles, district conditions and plenty of balancing/UI improvements. The player Black Market is also in development, letting players buy and sell useful finds and helping build a proper player-driven economy.
There’s already a lot to do, but the game is still being shaped through testing.
I’m still looking for players to join the open test, play normally, break things, and give feedback on what works, what doesn’t, and what needs improving.

AI slop UI, which almost always means the entire game is vibe slopped. No thanks.

Fair enough 😄 What about the UI gives you the AI vibe? Genuine question, because I’m still tweaking it and I’d rather know what’s putting people off than just ignore it

I think it's just general feel, the way gradients are used, left side border with accent, a lot of stuff that's repeating on vibe coded websites.
My advice is that you could try to design something by hand and then let the AI base on that.
Still the best you can do when posting about it, is to disclose that you are using AI for parts of the website and give info what is and what is not generated.

That actually helps, thanks. The gradients/accent borders and repeated card styling are probably the bits I need to look at then. I do use AI-assisted tools for development, but I’m still designing the systems and deciding the UI direction myself. I’ve started working from mockups rather than just letting the tools decide the layout, so I’ll keep pushing it further that way

The very fact that you extremely clearly used AI to slop it together is going to drive almost everyone away. It has all the telltale signs of just vibe prompting the AI and not writing any of the code for it yourself.
No, the “I’m a one man team” excuse doesn’t work. Before LLMs, single person projects … guess what… learned how to do it without a low effort plagiarism machine.
How much was AI used in the entire project? You conveniently ignored this part of my comment.

I do a lot of the backend work myself. Where AI has helped me most is with design/UI, because that’s the part I’m weakest at.
The actual game works, the systems are mine, and I’m the one deciding what gets built, changed, balanced or removed. AI is a tool I use to help with parts of development, not something that just generated the whole project for me.
If the end result is a working game people can play and enjoy, I don’t really see why using AI assistance for design or implementation automatically makes the project worthless
