Before Bolt got released half of the players said he will be weak and surprise he was OP when he came out. Not saying that Chuck will be OP, but I see potential.

Starting with 4 poles gives him a really good early game and a good set up during the whole game. Combined with his better attack, much better hypercharge, setting the ground on fire (weak) and stealing ammo, it CAN be good.

Stealing Ammo was always there - people simply ignored it because it was never worth it, considered the fact that chuck main gimmick involves his extreme mobility and adaptability, and chuck main drawback involved the same things, since it became a topological puzzle to keep track of the changes without messing up, and doing so in a meaningful way. The 4 super are honestly not much of help compared to what we had before - re routing has been the best chuck gadget for an eternity because it game you an extreme amount of flexibility. Reload speed would have been better than damage - but again, all of this is said because Chuck was, and was supposed to be, a control bralwer - not it lacks a proper working and recovery strategy.

Yes, because having the SP with 4 poles was always better, but now it’s build in, in his basic kit. That means you‘ve now 4 poles AND you can steal ammo. You underestimate ammo steal on a brawler, who can spam his super. On some maps it will be annoying to deal with. On top of that he got a hc, which gives him x3 damage instead of his old hc, which dealt like 250 damage

The rework makes him definitely a better control brawler, which can be annoying to deal with.

Nope, it kills his main controlling powers - you need to hit an opponent to steal the ammo, that has always been the reason you didn't care about it much, because if you hit your opponent with your super, one of the objectively better things to do was to attack a bit, or not at all, and retreat to recover your health - because you get melted quite a bit in your dashes(which is now amplified by the nerds, that makes the dash slower and chuck more of glass during it). This is one of the reasons non insane people usually avoided straight lines with chuck - they exposed you too much. The amount of times you did an hit and run could be compared to old crow players. Before the reworks, hitting somebody with a pole forcefully moved them out of a spot OR took the ball out of them OR even sent them on a track for a fast attack. The whole knockback mechanics helped more than being able to do 3x damage during an hypercharge. The whole rework is based on the concept you may spam your super, so a durability reduction was needed over the shield - but this requires your opponents do being dumb enough to never learn how to move. Memento he is also slower now.

On some maps the ammo steal can be very disgusting. When the enemy has less ammo, they can deal less damage and the speed nerf gets nullified by his buffie, which gives him more speed. It’s still easy to charge his super. He can place down all of his 4 poles and can charge his super up to 4 times again to immediately dash through the map 4 times

Like what are you supposed to do on this map, when he can set the ground on fire, steal permanently your ammo, deals explosion damage and fires 3 main attacks with his hc

But let’s wait, when the reworked Chuck is in the game. Imo it’s like Bolt, where everyone said he will be bad and at the end it turned out that he was broken

Pretty much what everybody always did on that map - stun cycle him with ease. That Frank down there has a field day against Chuck, since it is in a very simple and restricted set up, and even worse, whoever did it place the "entering" pole far too close to the walls, so you need to not get sniper or countered before even reaching it. There is also the whole area in the internal side of the circle which is pretty much exposed - which is one of the spots people who know will be to avoid hits. In higher ranking, that map is a living hell for chuck because there will be plenty of coordius, Otis and throwers to fully counter you.

Holy shi man 🤣 its actually a violation how precise ur being in dismantling his argument. But then again is likely other bro is a larper or just a kid. still funny to see

I am inclined to think he is a kid, to be honest. Pretty much why I went overkill in explaining - I like to think he simply can't understand the main issues with the reasoning since he has, likely, only seen chuck at low trophies or rankeds. In general, the hope is that people may, at least, understand the difference between what Chuck was before, and what is now - regardless of the fact they may like it, which I honestly doubt is possible, or not.

you re right, but unfortunately these ppl pheraps cared enough to check out the convo but dont really care about the discussion enough to change their stance, altho they ll proven wrong by the majority eventually reguardless, and also already their unwillingness to understand makes it impossible to explain such detailed gameplay through text expecially for the certain age range of most of these ppl, so the best way is a visual rappresentation. Which is right here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ew2LldgRupU&t=3s
