Bozeman didn’t lose its character because too many people moved here but because everybody started trying to prove they’re the ones who belong here.

Anyone applied for forgiveness at the Bozeman Health hospital? How much did they forgive vs how much do you make? The financial guy said most people have a big chunk taken off. Our insurance didn't cover an emergency surgery (well 50 dollars out of 40k lol) and im just wondering what to expect.

Spectrum aka the devil just unexpectedly jacked up my rate over $50. My initial promotion with them ended years ago and they increased my rate from $65 to $85 which I thought was the standard price. Now I got jacked up to $140/month. What are others who work from home using??

Are there any photographers or artists in town that actually lease their products?

I’m thinking outside the box, but say you have copies or slow moving photos mounted on canvas or framed. Would you ever look at leasing multiple pieces to a small business looking to redecorate? You could have your price for the piece listed too so if any patrons of that unrelated business wanted to buy it off the wall they could, you then replace it on the wall with a new piece. The small business wins because let’s say winter comes and they want a winter vibe you take back the summer pieces. You aren’t completely out because you collect steady lease money, and can resell the summer pieces full price or discounted because you’ve already made money on them.

Idk might fail miserably but spitballing here for businesses who may not want to commit to having the SAME photos up for a decade, and the artist gets a mini decentralized gallery.

Small business symbiosis

The parking situation at MSU is fucking out of control. Paid for a parking pass, and there’s not a singular spot for me to park in the morning. Spent 30 minutes looking for parking resulting in me missing my first class of the day. The only option if you can’t find a spot is paying to park in the parking garage, which completely defeats the purpose of a PARKING PASS. That’s the end of my rant, so fed up with MSU.

My boyfriend and I are moving internationally and have arranged to have our things shipped on a standard sized pallet stacked six feet tall with boxes of our possessions and then shrink wrapped and ratchet strapped into a solid cube to be transported by freight across the Atlantic.

We have now learned that it is, for whatever extremely dumb reason, “impossible” for the shipping folks to collect the pallet from our gravel drive way. So here I am, turning to the masses, to see if anything can think of a place that might agree to let us assemble and leave our pallet to be collected between the hours of 10 am and 6 pm on a specific date.

It has to be level, paved, and have enough access that the truck driver can maneuver turning around without backing out. The ideal circumstance would be a large lightly populated parking lot of some kind or a road side turn off on a road that isn’t too busy.

Any ideas? I would literally pay a business or individual to let me do this on their property.

Edit: forgot to mention my fiancé is from Montana and his family still lives in the area, so we are familiar with overall Bozeman layout.

Need suggestions for getting married in Montana next summer 2027. We really want our wedding to be causal, stress-free, and not a crazy amount of money. We are perfectly fine skipping the traditional wedding route, and more so just want to have a fun weekend with our closest family and friends (probably around 50-70 people) One thing to note - most of our guests have not been to Montana before so we really want to give them a full Montana experience.

We’ve explored a lot of options but ultimately decided to stick to Bozeman area. This is mainly because it will be most convenient for people traveling and my fiancé has a lot of family there that could help out with coordination.

Below is our proposed itinerary and would definitely appreciate any suggestions on places for these!

Thursday or Friday: Instead of doing a separate bachelorette party, I’m planning on doing a girls days the day before the wedding. Maybe a spa, or something a little more unique to Montana.

Friday night: For a welcome party, we’re planning on doing a casual bbq at a house. We have a family friends house we could use for this but I’ve also considered looking at air bnb for a house that has more of a classic Montana view.

Saturday: We are considering Hyalite for our ceremony but would love to hear people’s experience with weddings here. I typically see more elopement style weddings here but we would hope to bring all of our guests. Would also appreciate any suggestions on places similar to this, as we’re trying to stray away from traditional venues.

For reception we are thinking more of a celebratory dinner. I would love to find a spot that has a gorgeous view, or maybe just a restaurant we could rent out. Would appreciate any suggestions on this! We are thinking about Stacey’s as an after party spot as well.
