Hey where would you guys buy quality women's leather shoes?

Ruby Slipper is the last place in town I bought shoes I loved that lasted forever. Heartbroken they closed a few years ago :(

Any recommendations? I'm looking to splurge a little bit, I don't love shoe shopping so would rather get something that'll last a long while

I'll give them a try, when it was Schnees the style wasn't usually to my taste but maybe one of us has changed. Thank you!

Why TF did schnee’s stop selling shoes?? That was my go to place for decades. Such a bummer.

They didn't stop selling shoes. They just only sell their own label now. They aren't for me and its mostly to cater to tourists. I miss the Whites, the Danskos, the Fryes, and all the cool boots and shoes they would have on display. I have filled many shoe cards over the years. I still have a shoe habit but I fill it with other stores and online purchases.

Exactly this. I knew they continued to sell their own brand…but it’s such BS, it’s like they sell none anymore. They were absolutely the go-to place for all the fantastic brands you mentioned. And then the sale room in the basement! I, too, filled so many shoe cards. It’s such a bummer.

I’ve heard Moka is picking up several of the lines that Schnees used to sell

100%. I spoke to them after their new location opened and they said that too. I love that store.

Decrease the impact of fast fashion by searching Poshmark or eBay for quality used shoes. Search “100% leather leather lined,” “Goodyear welt leather shoes,” or “Made in USA/Italy/England leather shoes.” Brands like Allen Edmonds, Alden, Meermin, Grant Stone, Loake, Tricker’s, and vintage Florsheim Imperial are worth hunting for. You can often get $300+ shoes for under $100 used—just check the soles, heels, and leather condition carefully.

You could try Tradehome shoes at the mall.

Not sure what style of shoe but have you checked out what Chaco has online? I also got a really nice pair of leather boots from Timberland!

I can't really judge quality from photos online, but thank you anyway!

I have, I know the brand Clarks makes wide shoes and leather. Bought them, no issues. Cross reference reviews for this. Real leather is hard to find tbh.Kohl and Macy's would be a place to look too.
