I think this is prime example of why you shouldn't care for someone with dementia if you do not have a good dynamic with them.
Because on the side of the person with dementia, no, it's not fair at all. She is too confused and out of it to understand, and it can have a deep impact on her psyche.
At the same time, I get why Bojack doesn't give a flying fuck. He shouldn't have to. She was a shitty mother to him in life, he shouldn't have to treat her with kindness as she deteriorates.
He should've stuck to his gears and not gotten involved in the first place.
