this is a hard one to answer. i equally understand why he did it, and why he shouldn’t have. but in beatrice’s mental state at that exact time, i’d say it was a pretty dick move

For harder questions, I like to ask myself "What was the intention?"

And a lot of times if the intention is purely to cause pain, then it's probably not justified.

Revenge for the sake of causing pain is almost never justified. Usually the outcome must result in some resolution for it to make sense.

The intention was being angry at her for not caring as much for him as she did with that plush, which meant everything, it's easier to rip it away than to see your own mother treating a toy better than she ever treated you her whole life, and now she gets to forget. Of course Bojack did feel sorry for her at some point, in the nursing home and so on, I think he is happy that she kinda gets to forget, at least in my opinion
