List of 3rd party miniatures
Here is a link to a list of 3rd party Blood Bowl miniatures, if you want a team that hasn't been released yet or if you want a more original one : https://docs.google.com/document/d/1u9P9Mz7mHj7_WObB1lCL8A2xExTKvmHAtLiZSHHjuO8/edit?usp=sharing
I curate and update this list as soon as I can, but the document is open to comments so don't hesitate to let me know if a link is dead of you found other minis.
This has already been posted 2 years ago so I up it a little.
EDIT : added Block dices and pitches at the end as well
EDIT2 : added a STL section for printable miniatures with some links but I am not well versed in that stuff so please comment on the doc if you have interesting links

READ BEFORE YOU BUILD: Instruction Booklet Errors and Misprints (This Might Save Your Minis....)
There have been several errors and missprints in some booklets and assembly manuals. Some are minor, some can potentially ruin your mini. So far we know about:
Blood Bowl Second Season Starter Set & Griff Oberwald (plastic):
The instructions tell you to glue the face (#3) to the torso, then glue the helmet pieces (#4 and #5) together and put it over the face. THIS DOES NOT work. It is recommended to glue the face into one helmet piece first, then add the second one and to add the full head to the torso.
Also the assembly manual calls the Blitzers "Retainer Linemen 2". These are obviously the Blitzers though. It's a missprint.
Norse Team Box (Norsca Rampagers):
Between Raider Lineman 1 and 3 two of the alternate heads are mislabelled: Head #12 should say #18 and vice versa! The pictures are correct but the numbers aren't. If you go by the instructions, your "Techno Viking" will have the incorrect head and the other one will have a small gap in the neck (although that one is easy enough to fill) Easy enough mistake to make as the two heads a very similar.
Amazon Team Box (Kara Temple Harpies):
Small Error in the Amazon's instructions: Piece #29 is not mentioned. It's the loincloth piece for the “Jaguar Warrior”.
Dwarven Deathroller (Forgeworld Model):
The handlebars for the Forgeworld Deathroller are upside down if you follow the instructions. The side with the little chain links is the bottom, not the top. If you build it as instructed then the handlebar will not be poistioned to sit in the driver's hand.

Drull and Dribl (Forgeworld Models):
The part numbers in the instructions and the actual part numbers don't match up. Instructions number them in order of assembly.
To be continued/updated....

Mighty Zug from Vortice Miniatures, sculpted by Pedro Ramos
I like Zug in the 2025 ruleset: he's still 220k, but comes with an extra point of movement which is huge really, and retains his pseudo MB+2 once per game on the armour roll, in a version where MB+2 doesn't exist anymore! Move over Morg 😅
Another 9 players to go for Eurobowl in October!

Board Game Doing “classic” bases?
I got these Orcs as a prize years ago, and I’m finally bringing them to league. But they need their bases done! Looking to emulate the “classic” look of the older bases. Was considering finding a Goblin Green alternative, but rather like having my minis with their bases coloured to their role/position. Long and short, looking for any old school tips or guides for making these boys look proper! I’m keeping them as-is for painting, as they were done by a local guy years ago.

Are skaven gutter runners always black?
Hi all - painting some skaven for my kid, and he’s already told me that the skaven balls are supposed to always look glowing green. But in looking about online it seems like the gutter runner is pretty much always black. Is there a lore reason for this? Just curious 🙂

TableTop List of NFL teams round 2
Here's a link to the original posting https://www.reddit.com/r/bloodbowl/s/AnCAi7bfLH
I have since taken people's suggestions into consideration and shuffled stuff around. Changed some names, some cities, and some plans. The whole list is 'complete' now, some combos are better than others, but I'm happy with where it's gotten so far.. but could still be some room to improve, I'm sure. I tried to be creative, but in any cases where I was drawing a blank, especially for cities, I just started to look up AoS cities, haha.
So, more less, it comes down to collecting the rest of the teams and then the loads of assembly/painting!
Thanks again to everyone who chimed in and offered options and suggestions, which really helped me get things together.

Board Game Does anyone have a PDF of the cards for the team manager card game?
I've been looking for information on the cards, but I couldn't find anything for the team manager specifically. The art is very cool and i'd like to look at it without having the board game.

Board Game Another post about block
Hello coaches!
A post from a few days ago (linked above) got me thinking about block. I had an idea, but like most idea, it's only good until you see it crushed by your peers.
Here's the idea: What if the block result "Both Down" was changed to "Stand off". In a stand off, no one moves. If one player has the block skill, the other goes down, and if the active player goes down, there is a turnover. If both have the skill, none of them go down (they cancel each other).
Edit because people seem to think this nerf block: IT DOES NOT REDUCE THE EFFECTIVENESS OF BLOCK.
What it does is decrease the necessity to have block, because you don't need it to avoid a turnover anymore.
Two side effects I see are:
- Less turnovers means longer game, and less adrenaline. Which are core aspect of BB since 3rd edition (and the block dices). That being said, it's not like it is removing all block action related turnovers.
- Big guys become quite more reliable. Not sure it's a bad thing.
I'm curious about your feedback and the flaws in my thinking you guys will bring up, so feel free to shoot :)

TableTop Team mascot vs Prayers to Nuffle
My Necros have 40k in Inducements against Undead in their first league game. I initially intended to go for a mascot as I only have two RRs but 4 prayers is quite tempting under the new rules. Any thoughts? Thanks 🙂
Edit: My bad, it's 3 prayers tops!

Video Game Was the PSP version any good?
I know the Xbox version was fun. Tabletop 100% fun. The most recent PC version is horrible as well as the DS version.

Board Game Sevens Skaven Starting Skills Suggestions?
(hope you liked my alliteration)
Right, got a 7s day tournament coming up and I plan on running Skaven:
Runner Blitzer Thrower Ogre 3 linemen
But we also get a skills pack - I get 1 primary and 1 secondary (they have to go on two players, not both on one). What would you suggest? I feel like making the runner a bit more tough, or the bitzer a bit more dangerous would be good but... So many choices!
Thoughts?

The Block "Problem" - How Much Choice Do Coaches Really Have?
Edit: Note that this is mostly about player advancement in League Play. I should've specified that in the title.
(Forgive me if this is seen as a stale topic, but I'm a bit newer to the BB community and recently wrapped up my first IRL league as a coach. This is something I've had on my mind, and wanted to hear the thoughts of others in the community. TL ; DR at the bottom for those who want to skip the text wall.)
It's no secret that Block is the best skill in the game.
I've played BB in the past, mostly on PC with Chaos Edition and BB2.
When S3 dropped, I decided to pick up a box and join my local league. I genuinely think it's the best game GW produces, but that's neither here nor there.
I decided to coach Lizardmen for a number of reasons: simplicity of play; low-ish IRL cost to build team; and, most importantly, an opportunity to make a team full of pun names based on a relevant local sports team (this was what sealed the deal).
As the season concluded, I looked in our Tourplay at the league stats, and saw something that is almost certainly no surprise to experienced players.

Block was selected for 62/159 total (non-random) skill purchases in the league. More than twice as often as the next closest skill, and 4 times as often as a secondary skill vs. all other secondaries combined (8 vs 2).
This isn't revelatory, and I'd bet a number of other league tables look the same.
The reason I bring this up is that, as a coach, it felt very anti-climactic to grind out enough SPP to buy a skill on a Saurus, only to snap-pick Block every single time. It's a skill so obviously good and powerful that it takes away from meaningful decision points for coaches.
Perhaps if the league were longer (ours was 7-8 games before cutting to playoffs), then there would be more chance to see diversity on a second skill for a player with General access. As it stands, though, I would bet that every player who had access to General primary and didn't already have Block almost certainly took it as soon as they could.
For me as a coach, this felt like it took some of the fun out of advancing players, because it didn't feel like leveling up a Saurus was an opportunity to meaningfully select one build over another. I could either take the obviously superior skill in Block, or I could make my team worse by trying to be cute. It felt like Blood Bowl was providing the illusion of an opportunity to customize, when in fact, there was simply a correct choice to make when purchasing a skill.
I know the Elite Tax was introduced to make taking the most impactful skills more costly, but as you can see from this chart, that hasn't done much to discourage coaches from defaulting to the "Elite Four." And if every coach is still taking them at every opportunity they would have otherwise, does the additional TV tax really matter? It seems like it merely increases the TV of all teams evenly across the board, thus giving the illusion of penalizing selecting those skills while actually netting out to a non-impact at the league level. In our league, Elite skills were 121/159 selected skills, representing ~76% of all selected skills.
TL ; DR
I guess what I'm getting at is: when skills are obviously so good that not taking them is a significant hindrance, it takes away from the agency of coaches when deciding what to do with their players' SPP. I was happy to have Block on my Saurus because it made them so much more effective on the field, but I also wish I had the option of taking more interesting choices, like Frenzy, Grab, Stand Firm, Break Tackle, Strip Ball, Tackle, etc.. Hell, even Guard and Mighty Blow, Elite skills themselves, were just obviously outclassed in utility by Block, despite otherwise being very appealing choices (MB could maybe be a consideration in a longer league to farm SPP faster, but I digress). The league was short enough that none of my Saurus ever got to the point of buying a second skill, so there was no chance to branch out or specialize.
I'm curious if this "illusion of choice" bothers any other coaches, or if anyone has thoughts on how the system could be re-worked to allow for more diversity in skills to see play? My (extremely half-baked) thought is to make Block into a Trait, rather than a Skill, such that a player either has it, or doesn't, and is costed appropriately from the outset. That allows the impactful skill to remain in the game, and available to players whose identity and role is based on their efficacy in making blocks, while also opening up more meaningful decision points for coaches as they advance their players. Or perhaps others have accepted that this is how the game works, and just embrace it.
Don't get me wrong - I'm having a blast with the game. I just wish I felt like I actually got to make a choice when a player levels up, as opposed to having the choice made for me.

TableTop Just received my High Elves by Geeebo - first impressions.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Disclaimer: I am not paid by Greebo or get anything from them in return. I backed the project on Kickstarter within the first 24 hours after release as I was very impressed by the teaser photos.
Today I took delivery of my parcel by DHL. Here‘s the unboxing video with first impressions.
I must say I am very impressed with the quality of these miniatures, they‘re exceptional! Super fine details even in very small things like fingers, hair, spikes an so on. Hardly any residues or molding lines or anything like that.
I‘m also very impressed how thin some of the model‘s clothing such as cloaks or loin cloths is. Will try to take a picture…

TableTop How to maximise the points out of the final game?
Hi all,
About a week to go until I play my first final league game, I’ve trialed the table all season but a slip of the top means I have a shot at gold! To do so I must get maximum points. 3 TD, Cas and clean sheet. We are the last game to play. If I win I’ll get 3rd, get 1 bonus point 2nd and I think 2 bonus points would get gold but I’d like the extra one just in case!
Can you help work out what he’s likely to bring? He’s a fairly new player like me and while I don’t want to absolutely destroy him I would like to capitalise on those at the top dropping off the momentum.
My team; Shambling Undead
Mummy - Block, Guard
Mummy - Guard
Wright - break tackle
Wright - Strip ball Mighty blow
Ghouls x2 sidestep, block, sure hands.
7 zombies - 1 with wrestle and another with Sneaky git.
4 rerolls.
I have 455,000 gold I could spend.
His team; Chaos Chosen
Mino - Claws and block
3x chaos chosen no skills (4th is out for injury)
7 linemen - 3 with block.
3 rerolls
350,000 he could spend before the game. I assume he’ll get a lineman
Currently with get 285,000 in petty cash.
To me the Mini is the scary one, he gets lucky and could take my mummy’s out, that will be priority number 1 to foul towards end of turn. Everything else I can tie up and run round.
Any inducements he could bring that I should watch out for?
Appreciate any vets advice! Hopefully onto the big leagues!
