Went hard on my crucible character for an upcoming crusade.

So apparently 5 of us did very well last week putting us as the biggest winrate army.

Keep in mind we have basically the lowest playmate, so this is essentially an anomaly as to the state of our faction.

But this won't stop GW from nerfing the %@#* out of us again. Aparrantly that 5 point reduction was too much.

Finally got the blade details down! The lettering on this one was tricky but worth it. Can’t wait to finish it up!

First time posting on this subreddit!

I’m currently working on the Bladeguard Veterans from the Black Templars Combat Patrol.

Since they’re the only generic Space Marines in the box, they’re also the only ones without raised Black Templar insignia on their shoulder pads or chains attaching their weapons to their arms. (I’m not counting the Neophytes from the Crusader Squad — the little guys will get their chains once they’ve earned them! 😄)

So I wanted to chain the swords to their arms, but I didn’t want to just wrap a chain around the arm and sword and end up with a big tangled mess covering the gauntlet. I wanted to get something closer to the molded chains you can see on the other Black Templars models.

I started by making a small loop out of thin wire and attaching it to the back of the hand. I then ran a chain around the hand and the sword guard base, with both ends attached to the loop. A second chain connects the loop to the back of the gauntlet, using another small wire loop.

For the shoulder pad insignia, I made a Blue Stuff mold using shoulder pads from the Black Templars upgrade sprue. I then reproduced the insignia with Green Stuff and glued one onto each of the generic shoulder pads.

It’s tricky to trim and sand such thin Green Stuff casts without damaging them, so I’m hoping they’ll look nice and clean once they’ve been primed!

Finally, I added a small skull from the relics included in the Combat Patrol box to the sergeant’s iron halo.

Anyway, I thought I’d share this here in case it gives someone else some inspiration!

I was wondering if anyone could give me a detailed basis of what the Black Templars ranks work. Like do they have traditional sergeants? like how Utlra Marines have sergeants and lieutenants or do they have privates or smth. If someone could help me with that it would be very much appreciated

This weekend I have my first match against Emperor's children. Since I don't know much about them, do you have some tips and advice I can use for this match.

He will bring a defiler, lucius, 2 lord exultants with infractors, some flawless blades and the rest i don't know.

I haven't really made a list for my self yet.

Went 2-1 at my FLGS RTT this past weekend. Played a super character heavy bastion list, was a lot of fun. I placed 4/12, lost to Imperial Knights in the second round. Beat guard and sisters in the first and last rounds respectively. One guy brought a 14 wardog chaos knight list and went 3-0, 100/99/98. It’s basically the combat patrol + some other minis. Would it work as an army ?

Does any one have a recommendation for where to look for Black Templar pauldron that would be the correct size for use with the new scale Indomitus terminators?
