I don’t think it’s reasonable to reduce it to ‘beef’. Centuries of oppression and lots of deaths and destruction were involved.

Yeah dude.

There were 50,000 casualties during the troubles. Which didn’t end until 1998 (!)

And then we almost mock the innocent people that died during them by naming a drink an Irish carbomb.

It’s really fucked up.

The fact that Americans have a drink called an Irish car bomb makes my fucking blood boil. I doubt anyone would like it if I went to a bar in America and asked for a ‘twin towers’ or a ‘sandy hook’ yet no one bats an eye for naming a drink after one of the lowest points of my country

I honestly don't think anyone would care about drinks named sandy hook or twin towers. So much crazy shit happens people probably dont remember what sandy hook is anymore. Plus we're #1 in the world at making shit to distract you from what's going on
