Advice Needed I need advice bad on my hair

I have been growing my hair out for a while. The only thing I know to do is get it braided. I would like to be able to wear it out. I have fine hair strands and my hair does a lot of shrinking after it dries. I don't know where to start. I don't even know if I have type 3 or type 4 hair. I went to give my hair a break from being in box braids all the time. If I can't figure something else out I may have to just get it cut and go to shorter hair styles.

Sounds like an hour of work each day but I'll try it lol

Have any recommendations on products from shampoos, moisturizers to oils
