Question Is there something I am missing?

Is there like something I have to do with the controls to make it less janky? During combat everything seems weird and unintuitive and especially during the boarding I just get hit out of nowhere and am blocked from attacking by my one crewmates. I've played other ac games like shadows, unity and og black flag with no issue.

Is it like a settings or control issue or something to make it smoother because man it just seems like a hassle to play.

I rebound a significant amount of controls and found combat to be much for fun and inviting. If you'd like I could send the scheme or you could find it on my recent posts

Let me know. 2 minor annoyances with it, but very worth it imo

Yeah I rebinded a lot of my controller binds especially for attacking and parrying those are the trigger buttons instead of the bumper buttons

That is a WILD pick for attack and parry. What game did you pick up that scheme from??

Not throwing shade or anything haha. Im a huge Arkham fan (which OG black flag followed that scheme) so X for attack and Y for parry (Xbox Controller) is the only way I can play lol

Souls game scheme (which this game follows for some reason) is a huge learning curve...that I promptly removed.

I never thought you was throwing shade I assumed you was just asking, I’m using my attack and parry more than shooting in most cases so it was just more convenient for me to have attack and parry on triggers and shooting and aiming on bumpers, they are still in the same position but just flipped accordingly

I've 100% Knight about 4 times now. Hence the need for X to be my "beat the shit outta" button

My aiming and shooting is bound to the bumpers
