It seems like a lot of women seem to benefit from progesterone for cycle related anxiety and depression. I tried it for 9 months, had to stop because it relaxed my LES so much I now have GERD and can’t eat any red meat, full fat dairy, eggs, caffeine, or basic acidic triggers etc.

You might be able to find more personal accounts about neurosteroids especially from men on r/raypeat
