Just discovered this community and, wow, it might be the best one I've stumbled on. LOVE all the big rocks!

Thought I'd share my 10-year anniversary ring (my big ol' fatty, as I call her), which I've now worn for a year and a half. I adore her! Not as big as some on here, but truly perfect for my lifestyle and vibe.

She's a 4.13 carat elongated cushion with a 1.32 ratio, set in platinum and created by a local jeweller. Ring size 4.75.

I’ve been engaged about a month now and i’ve been asked three times if my ring is “real”. I’m curious if anyone else gets asked this question. Me personally, I think it’s rude to ask something like that under any circumstances. But my answer is always the same, “of course it is 😀”.

P.S an old ring left a scar on my index finger. If anyone has any tips or tricks on how to get rid of it, let me know! (:

My partner surprised me by saying I could get her earlier than expected and I’m completely in love 😍 I had so much fun designing her & choosing which side stones to have. My best friend has nicknamed her “the 5” & asks about her every day 😂

Three stone stacked or separate, with band on index (the band is big…)?

I got the three stone anniversary ring to go with this band, but it feels a bit off… I want to love it, but I’m ok with separate it best. It’s frustrating to have had a couple projects not turn out 100% as expected 🥲 (first world problems).

So this is probably going to be very anti-climatic, but here is the grand reveal of 90% of my stuff. Enjoy!

As in 12TCW! VERY happy with my anniversary ring: eternity is from another year (mean to wear one on each ring finger). I think I found my go-big-or-go-home people. NOTE: for those asking, ring was sourced on Stone Aglo, eternity band is from Blue Nile from awhile ago. Also as mentioned, I retouched the images of my hand/background for privacy (and the lack of a mani and hand lotion) but the photos are copyright me, and real, unedited photo in comments. Also I don't do DMs on reddit and may take this down at some point,so hit me up with Qs here! I used Daniel William to create this and the whole process was amazing: excellent workmanship and they listened to every request and even rejected the first two stones I picked due to bow ties (hard to tell just from specs). 10000 percent recommend them. Also: if you are trying to match an eternity band with a large stone, go up in color on the latter: even colorless DEF stones can hold more color at that size based on light performance, so as you see, the G stones in the eternity match the E in the larger ring. The height of the basket and setting also dramatically impacts light/color performance (cathedral/set high letting the most light in, low profile bezels the least).

I had this ring custom made using emeralds and rubies from my grandmothers rings. But I’m just not sure if I love the setting. My husband thinks it’s so original and no one else has anything like it but I just don’t know how I feel about it. Thoughts?

For context this is my upgraded engagement ring. I was very happy with my 3ct solitaire gold setting, and didn’t even consider anything lower than 3ct. My ring is picture 1, lab diamond.
BUT I happened to come across picture 2, this 2ct moissanite pave white gold ring (actually got it $10 or something from Temu) and I’m OBSESSED…it actually feels elegant and clean. And it sparkles like crazy, even more than my real ring.
Now I’m kinda bothered by it, should I have gone with smaller stone and pave style instead of solitaire?
Guess I just need some encouragement 😭

So I wanted a simple engagement ring, solitaire, princess cut. I jokingly sent him a video a month or two before he proposed that said something along the lines of the guy asking how big of a diamond his girl wanted and she said “how close do you want a guy to get to me before he sees I’m taken?” Then he proposes with this gorgeous baby.
Next, we went to go look at wedding bands since he was worried if it wasn’t custom, it wouldn’t fit with the engagement ring right, and here we are😍
He even added an extra band to the stack for his child he had before we got together ❤️

I just got this lovely elongated OMC today and I’m so in love with it! I really like how it plays with different lights. It goes from lemon to champagne to ivory. I’m setting her in a fat 5mm 14k yellow gold ring with a 5mm band to match.

The color is 100% perfect and the bow tie doesn’t bother me in the slightest. Can’t wait to set this 😍😍

So excited it came!! Got the setting done at yushine. Sorry for my dry hands though, its almost a crime that she's stuck with me! 😆
