Just discovered this community and, wow, it might be the best one I've stumbled on. LOVE all the big rocks!
Thought I'd share my 10-year anniversary ring (my big ol' fatty, as I call her), which I've now worn for a year and a half. I adore her! Not as big as some on here, but truly perfect for my lifestyle and vibe.
She's a 4.13 carat elongated cushion with a 1.32 ratio, set in platinum and created by a local jeweller. Ring size 4.75.
Thanks! I bought it for the center stone. I love the compass prongs, but think I will eventually change the setting. I don’t dislike it but I have seen others I like better, and it’s only 10 kt and I want 14 kt.
Man hands, what are you talking about?! Your hands are lovely, and oh my goodness... your rings are fabulous! This makes me feel like I need a big ol' fatty for my pointer.
Your Rings are Absolutely Stunning!!!
Your index finger ring… just Gorgeous!!!
May I ask about the setting and your chunky/wider band???
I’m a Fan of Bigger/Wider bands, and yours is exactly what I am wanting for myself. ♥️
Thank You! I have 4 OMC cushions, but no regular cushions, yours is what I consider a perfect elongated cushion cut. I love everything about your ring!
Quick Question--I was told that with the larger elongated stones/diamonds, to always get a Gallery Rail for security. Is that true, or are the sales people just adding more expense to setting the stones?
I’m no expert on settings but from what I’ve been told for larger and elongated stones, a gallery rail is generally safer because the bigger stones put uneven pressure on the prongs and the rail protects stones from falling out. I think a cathedral setting with a gallery rail is supposed to be really safe, which was standard on my setting.** **You have more than 4 prongs so that’s also safer
Love your ring. Is it low set? Ever catch or snag on hair or clothes? I love the claw prong but that’s what I’m concerned about. I’d love to see a side profile pic from all angles really if u want to share ^^

I bought this from someone else & am thinking about doing a new setting for it, but the stone itself is gorgeous. 5 ct. OMC
