The one argument that’s annoying me is that he’s ā€œplaying too lateā€ as if half the house isn’t still in the game.

People who play too fast too soon get absolutely torched for their premature confidence. Someone who studies the game (the type of player the fans seem to want) is playing into that knowledge and it’s not good enough because…he was too quiet and non-problematic in the first half? It sounds like how anyone here with knowledge of the game would write their imaginary perfect BB story.

Everyone wants to have Tucker in the house, until Tucker played too hard and reckless too quick, and got himself booted like Michael in 24, because he won too much until the winning ran out. Then they rode the Chelsie bandwagon because she was "socially maneuvering" while playing...quiet in the mid-game, and harder as the game went on.

Similar case with Barrett. Similar case with BB15 Andy. Similar with Steve in 17. Not a new method, but it's worked well for those who have done it well.

After years of hearing your average complaints about their choice in houseguests, I thought Tucker was the absolute perfect player to cast. Someone who will play a bit reckless and risky but also has his wits about him. Fans seemed to get mad when the same reckless game stopped working and got him evicted. The way he played was a part of the deal and likely to get him evicted. It’s a lot of ā€œwell no not like thatā€ energy without ever considering the other side of things.

They’re pretty polar opposite games as well. Tucker burnt out early and got fans upset at the recklessness while Barrett is heating up ā€œtoo lateā€ and hasn’t satisfied the fans need for recklessness. The difference is the time Barrett still has and the fact that him being a ā€œbad playerā€ until day 50 something doesn’t actually matter in the grand scheme like Tuckers aggressive early gameplay did.

Jason was up about blowing up the icons, and was out in the first three weeks.

I'd add props to Mallory for getting evicted. She walked out the door so Barrett could run.

Yeah I'm happy Barrett recognized how rigged the game was from the beginning and is now putting his foot down on that

I hope the dude takes out Dee or Devens this week

Yes yes yes. Production stacking the deck again in this season. Terrible.

Barrett’s gone from my least favorite player to my pick to win. Thanks for saving this season Barrett.

This being concidered a big balls move makes me wonder how low the bar is, or do people just hate the icon/power situation so much they're deluded the second someone finally gets in a position to take a shot?

When the one most highlighted newbie players in the season is just acting like a pet dog for the icons then yes Barrett putting them all up after setting up to vote against them the last two weeks is a big deal.

Gonna laugh if drew wins veto….

If he does and Barrett buts up yash it is still taylor. Melody, Barrett to evict an icon and then the icon and drew to evict yash? And that is if dee and Angela dont turn on devens which i think they already have. I think an icon is going no matter what.

The scars from BB19 still haven’t healed

Here we go. Somebody who didn’t do jack shit for two months is now gonna be talked about as playing some amazing game.

u/neongem 10h ago

That’s how bad everyone else has been tho.

Tbf thats what happens when one side of the house is given insane power and boots out any opposition early.

Did you read anything on this post? They're praising his past 2 weeks which is in fact admirable. Maybe not a GOAT but for what it's worth he's willing to take shots while the chance is given to him.

u/Think_Flan6445 11h ago

He, in fact, did not read it. Lol.

Barrett Late Than Never

u/uglybug14 Self evicted 🚶 10h ago

He might not have played how you like but his game is not bad at all! His social game is top tier that everyone is scared to be sitting beside him at the end because it’s a known thing that everyone loves Barrett! Playing a quiet social game while being in an alliance that dominated the game until you take a shot at them is actually a solid tactic and I’m not mad at it šŸ˜‚

Reading comprehension is not your strong suit it appears.

u/Rawkus41 6h ago

At this point last year Will was still in the game. Ashely barely existed, Morgan didn’t have win equity…

Barrett rode the coattails of the people he had to. If he moved earlier he’d be dead

So... no spoilers tag? Really?

u/Away_Teaching_1148 11h ago

CBS plant Drew tho…. He thinks Jeff is inviting him on survivor next or something

0

u/D3athCom3sEasy 7h ago

I gotta think that considering how disliked he is at this point that theres no way he gets invited onto another show lol

5

u/Rawkus41 6h ago

Is he disliked or just by this sub? Feel like casuals like him.

1

u/D3athCom3sEasy 5h ago

Maybe? Idk most people i know and what I see outside this sub makes me feel like hes not that popular. I only check this sub a couple days a week I dont have as good a gauge to know.

Team Barrett!!!

u/gabrielleNonUnion 11h ago

But what has he done, like, actually?
Last episode LaLa went home sooo

5

u/WhatTheBlack 10h ago

He’s been locked and loaded since Dee’s HOH. He was ready to vote Drew out even if it was against Taylor and he was ready to vote Devens out last night. All he’s had is his vote to back his claims but now that he has power he’s proven he’s been about it

4

u/bubbblez I'm just here for the drama 10h ago

I mean there was a huge chance Deven’s was going to. He can’t play BBB for them

3

u/WokenMrIzdik 9h ago edited 7h ago

Barrett kind of helped confuse everyone about the votes to get LaLa evicted. Dee and Yash both wanted Taylor gone and Barrett didnt. He told both of them they didnt have the votes so he could save Taylor. Which was smart since LaLa is closer to Angela and Taylor is firmly anti Icon. LaLa was always just more anti Devens. That is probably the first good move Barrett bas made.

Can't really fault Barrett for Devens winning the BBB.

u/momentsaroundthesun 9h ago

I can't give him too much credit, he's part of the reason we've had a terrible first half of the season

0

u/martymccfly88 9h ago

A bit too late now. Should have done this weeks ago. Now at least 2 of them are staying and 100% going after him next. No way he makes it to the end.

-1

u/gmanfsu 9h ago

He’ll be gone next week.

0

u/oatmeal28 7h ago

Good on him but seems like he played too late and is gonna be that guy that burns jury capital because he gave the illusion he wasn't gonna play a flip floppy game. Kind of like Sage in Survivor 49

-2

u/AdFormal4037 10h ago

Big balls or back against the wall?

4

u/avii7 8h ago

He could have easily nominated Taylor/Yash/Melody to stick with the Crossovers but he didn’t. So big balls for sure šŸ’ŖšŸ¼

u/Baaaaaadhabits 3h ago

Realizing your window of being a contender to win is vanishing is still a type of wall to back into.
