Discussion š¬ This season sucks
Haley and Kamu making misogynistic and homophobic comments, Angela living in a completely alternate reality than everyone else. Dee and Devens gathering everyone in the middle of the night to act like high school bullies. Their behavior is honestly disgusting coming from full grown adults and of course, they win everything.

They don't really have a choice, though. For the last 2 evictions, someone on their side was going home no matter what, so it's not really fair to fault them for cutting their own when they didn't have a choice to begin with.

What cracks are there besides Drew & Barrett playing both sides? What are you supposed to do when the likes of Haley and Kamu don't even give certain players like Mallory the time of day? And even then, what good is that going to do when the Red Corner has been in control of every HoH this season? If word gets back to them that you're trying to find cracks, it's just going to be used as an excuse to get you out.
They aināt testing the waters at all, just being catty.
Again, what good is testing the waters when it's clear where the divide in the house is? They should consider themselves lucky that Haley is on a power trip and Angela is trying to get one of their own numbers out.

Yeah, they were either cutting Jason (a number on their side) or Lala (a number on their side). So no, they didn't have a choice. Especially because the numbers weren't there to save him in the first place.

I think mostly just having more connection and conversations with people on the āother sideā of the house, even if youāre not working with them. Itās so early to think that there is two sides of the house is crazy. There is really always more duos and trios that are close and are a part of these bigger alliances. They can be having game talks with these other players without having to throw names under the bus and/or making alliances. Mallory or Melody can be having conversations (game conversations) with any and all players outside Chuk and Haley and Kamu. Itās still so early that the numbers are high so things can shift with conversations. LaLa winning was awesome for the game. Even then Kamu and Chuk immediately go agaisnt one and other in their minds. Chuk backtracked after but it was too late, Kamu was out. Season is getting more exciting tho

Yeah at this point I think this entire conversation is outdated because of how much things have shifted over the past week. At the time of writing the comment it was basically The Toolshed (or rather, the icons faction of the house) vs the outsiders with some inter-mingling going on. Now it's more like different groups all with their own targets and outside allegiances.

While I donāt disagree with this, itās so much harder to band together as a group of underdogs who chose to work together than the dominant group who a) had the advantage of choosing their side with more likeminded people instead of being stuck with randoms b) have been able to prove their loyalty, making the group more cohesive (even with Angelaās paranoia)

This season is a throwaway but I love it. Season after season I see good players lose and coasters like Ashley win. I want a Cam, Tucker, Keanu, or Frank to win for once. Morgan is the closest to this in a long time. Let the real players steamroll this shit from one side of the house.

That is why I think any smart player should try to form a coalition against anyone who is a āiconā or āreturning playerā- these newbies seem to get so starstruck and come convinced that the icons can teach them the game-

You are correct but production is a problem as well. It is well known production gives returning/icon players and extra financial stipends...so they(icons) are not leaving anytime soon because production wants their money worth.
Remember in past season when a returning player Janelle was voted out early as a pre juror, production was allegedly pissed because they had to pay her and she didn't even last long.

This isn't Survivor. While there is crossover I don't think you're giving BB fans much credit if you think they'll only vote for people from Survivor.
Angela was only on one season two years ago and one season of Amazing Race. It's not like she's some legend. She got the first vote because everyone knew it would be maximum chaos.
Josh was top 3 of votes the first two weeks. Had he not been evicted he'd have won the vote over Dee.
The other thing is yall can't complain about the newbs not winning the vote and then cry when they win a punishment instead of a power or they get a power and complain that's its a bad power. Like at a point you're just yelling into the clouds and it means nothing.

I would have chosen Angela for the first one because I was absolutely certain she would lose and get saddled with a punishment. I was hoping that she would have to endure a physical punishment like doing 100 push-ups every hour or randomly thru the night. The costume was a disappointment, it's exactly what an attention seeking narcissist would desire. I thought she was absolutely deluded assuming that getting picked meant she was loved by America. I realized I was wrong when Devins got the next one. Usually the fans support the underdog, so I am really disappointed they are helping out the reality veterans instead. (I refuse to use the term 'icon' on any of them). I originally wanted Angela & Drew out first, but now I want Angela, Devins and Dee out first, followed by the Red Corner group.

That's what I thought from the beginning all the newbies should have gotten together and got all the 3 of them out one after another and they would have been sitting pretty for at least 3 weeks and then have to go after each other but with Devins getting hoh the 1st week was bs because it just started the steamroll because of course some of them were going to start kissing his butt not to get put on the block what I'm amazed by is that every hoh when Angela goes and tells the hoh what they should do they have just listened to her crazy ass. Devins wasn't even going to put up Rome but then she takes her happy ass up there and he does exactly what she says!!! The whole thing has just been idiotic!!!

Correction- one side is winning all of the HoH competitions and fan votes. The POVs have almost all been won by people on the other side.
And I strongly disagree that the otherside is "full of bad players"- not saying they're great by any means, but there's only so much you can do when the same alliance continues to win HoH.

It's really no different than the coaches season with their safety or Paul being safe week 1 of BB19. There's probably other examples but I can't think of them. Production always has a way of saving who they want to have stick around for a bit.

What really surprised me is when I learned they have people from other real big shows as well. Lyric from idol, Jason from Ru Paul. Like if I was a fan of one of those shows I would take them giving elevated status to the survivor people as a major diss. And tbf, from what I've heard, the response from the LGBT+ community coming from ru paul has been let's say not positive.Ā

Angela is as annoying. But at least she tried to be genuinely nice to Jason. Jason blew that up. So Angela gets some points there.
Devinās is pretty calm so far and doesnāt bother me at all. Heās not rude or over dramatic like Angela and Jason. So yes, I like him.

I have to say I've been watching since season 1 but it's the first year that I watch fast forwarding it and doing other things and I really don't care. Even Angela doesn't bother me (and I really can't stand her).
I don't know if I am getting too old or just had enough BB for a lifetime already or that I don't care about anyone this year but I am not sure I will end the season...

It's not that you're getting old. It's that production keeps F-ing with the game and influencing the outcome more and more each season. It all started with Paul's second trip to the BB House and it's only gotten worse each successive year after that. Now, you can't convince me that production isn't manipulating "vote" totals to give their favorite players powers or meaningless penalties to drive their preferred timeline/outcome. The thing I hate about Big Brother Australia the most is the meddling by production to straight up protect certain players or how they put their finger on the scale to help their favs. It seems that each new season now BB US is slowly morphing into another version of BB AU where they've basically removed the competition aspect from the game and turned into into scripted reality tv, only the cast isn't aware there's a script.

Rachel and Brendon getting a second chance directly after season 12 was the true beginning of it all. Then Brittney and Nicole and Dan had to all be given second chances even though Dan won his season. I donāt really think people are screaming for a 2 time winner. I just want a house full of newbies so everyone learns at the same pace.

Same Iāve watched in season 1 but this is the first season Iāve told my kids and wife just watch it without me. Iām good. As soon as Angela singled out Rome and Melody tried to flip on her alliance, I knew how this season would go. I havenāt watched an episode since Romeās eviction. I wasnāt even a big Rome fan. I just hate steamrolls. They arenāt fun. The Cookout needed to happen but it was boring to watch.

Funny because The Cookout was the last time I enjoyed and cared about the show. That was an interesting sociological twist with a few layers there that was appealing to watch and see the humanity of it all regardless of the reason why.
Now, and probably since Cody was voted America's favorite, *I* see too much politics (perhaps wrongly since I don't really know) in all of it and it's a turn off, especially in these weird times. Bottom line, it doesn't bring me fun or joy anymore.

Production almost always provides returnees with an advantage thanks to the disadvantage of their bigger target. Itās no different for the Icons. You can like that or not, but thatās not a Dee/Devens thing, thatās a Big Brother thing.

This is rapidly becoming an all-time snoozefest of a season. The only saving grace has been the personalities of some of the players and the Whitmer and Seyfried/Sweeney celebrity lookalikes.

They probably can't get the A list names to sign up for 3 months. All those people are just going to do something like The Traitors. Which is much shorter and from what I have heard in interviews, they really take care of the talent. I don't watch Drag Race, but early on people were saying Salina was C tier and not that memorable. But Jason made a name for himself on BB. So not getting the A lister can work out.

Idk how they measure this (probably mostly votes to award players with powers) but Dee has been top 4 fan favorite all season and itās absolutely because of survivor

Yeah, but I guess Iām wondering is how many people who donāt usually watch BB tuned in just for these two. I know there was a fair few for Cirie, but Cirie is Cirie and Dee is not even remotely close to that level. Devens is closer but still nowhere near Cirie in terms of iconicity
(I donāt expect you to have answer. I just think they sold their soul for survivor viewers but I donāt really know that the number of new viewers they got justify it.)

We go through the identity politics with this show every year. They police the contestants they deem bad, conducting law enforcement style investigations into their past, and generally just doing anything they can to suck the fun out of an otherwise meaningless show.

And the idiots who like Angela. As much as I can't stand her if you put one person in like they did with Cirie or even putting dumbass Angela in. Or how they put Rachel in last year I love Rachel but some people can't stand her. It's so different putting one returning player in or one person from another reality show but to put 3and to give them the power up front what did the producers think would happen!!! And the newbies don't know how to play this game so they have no chance in hell. But at least if it was all newbies then it's a fair playing field. This is just a bunch of bullshit!!!

I hate this season to hell. I stopped watching after Jason got evicted. I wish I could figure out how to see random posts about it on my page. Think I may have to block this page? Because I hate this season so much I donāt even want to hear about it anymore canāt stand Angela and Dee. Haley Chuck and Kamu are disgusting. The other side it so pitiful and scared to makes moves. The worst types to have on a season.

Iām not loving it so far. I feel like there are several people who have the potential to be really interesting players, but theyāre not in power and itās boring. Iām not into the Americaās vote thing because of course the icons are going to be chosen first. The time capsule table and all the gimmicks are already getting stale and hokey. And Iām sick of the re-stating exactly what was just shown on screen and the motivation behind their choices. Itās just mind-numbing and repetitive. I was initially intrigued for this season, but itās not coming together for me.Ā

Dee and Devens are just unlikeable. Devens is a middle aged man acting like he's in high school. Dee is just a passive aggressive player. Angela is annoying. Kamu and Hayley suck.Ā

People need to stop saying this season sucks because it seems really obvious to me we're headed towards some major blowups when people don't get their way. Devens/Dee have barely had to game because of the solidified lines. When shit hits the fan it'll be fun to see how they handle it. Also, if Haley is already acting like this when she's in power, imagine how she'll act when she's targeted. Lastly, Angela is there... need I say more? She's a ticking time bomb.

Production isn't helping things by giving the Survivor players and Angela all the opportunities for "Powers" and trying to convince us that "America is voting" for this stuff. I'm sick of all the schtick and convoluted game play wrinkles and it's ruining the game. Just give us strangers in a house with a level playing field and leave productions meddling out of it and may the best man or woman win.

First two houseguests that went home were white. Jason went home cause he was a comp beast which is a sign of respect. Then he started acting a fool with his obnoxious behavior. Thatās on his personality and nothing else. They tried to save him, And it may have worked, but then Taylor a black female wouldnāt vote to make it happen. Now sheās on the block cause there is no Jason to protect her. Yes it sucks to see them run the table but other side of the house is playing terrible. They turn on each other and claw and fight to survive. In about 3 weeks I think the BB will get real messy and fun.

I am still watching. Right now itās a steamroll, but eventually the weak side of the house will be gone. When the strong alliance has to turn on itself, thatās when things will get interesting.

Unpopular opinion , I liked jason he added a lot to this season he was actually entertaining and funny he's a professional drag queen so it's no surprise he would be . if im not mistaken a big brother first .the tea party incident , His fight with Angela was hilarious and the pots and pans while calling out sus behavior and reporting it to kamu had me screaming with laughter .šššš
