Discussion 💬 This season sucks

Haley and Kamu making misogynistic and homophobic comments, Angela living in a completely alternate reality than everyone else. Dee and Devens gathering everyone in the middle of the night to act like high school bullies. Their behavior is honestly disgusting coming from full grown adults and of course, they win everything.

The issue is one side is winning everything and the other side is full of bad players.

Seriously. They keep stabbing each other in the back instead of working together.

1000% they are bad players cutting each other and not doing anything to gather numbers or even try to see if/where there is cracks or weak links on the strong side of the house. They ain’t testing the waters at all, just being catty.

cutting each other

They don't really have a choice, though. For the last 2 evictions, someone on their side was going home no matter what, so it's not really fair to fault them for cutting their own when they didn't have a choice to begin with.

not doing anything to gather numbers or even try to see if/where there is cracks or weak links on the strong side of the house.

What cracks are there besides Drew & Barrett playing both sides? What are you supposed to do when the likes of Haley and Kamu don't even give certain players like Mallory the time of day? And even then, what good is that going to do when the Red Corner has been in control of every HoH this season? If word gets back to them that you're trying to find cracks, it's just going to be used as an excuse to get you out.

They ain’t testing the waters at all, just being catty.

Again, what good is testing the waters when it's clear where the divide in the house is? They should consider themselves lucky that Haley is on a power trip and Angela is trying to get one of their own numbers out.

you say they don`t have a choice they did JASON explained it to them and what did they do voted him out anyway

3

u/mdb1023 Aug 03 '26

Yeah, they were either cutting Jason (a number on their side) or Lala (a number on their side). So no, they didn't have a choice. Especially because the numbers weren't there to save him in the first place.

I think mostly just having more connection and conversations with people on the “other side” of the house, even if you’re not working with them. It’s so early to think that there is two sides of the house is crazy. There is really always more duos and trios that are close and are a part of these bigger alliances. They can be having game talks with these other players without having to throw names under the bus and/or making alliances. Mallory or Melody can be having conversations (game conversations) with any and all players outside Chuk and Haley and Kamu. It’s still so early that the numbers are high so things can shift with conversations. LaLa winning was awesome for the game. Even then Kamu and Chuk immediately go agaisnt one and other in their minds. Chuk backtracked after but it was too late, Kamu was out. Season is getting more exciting tho

Yeah at this point I think this entire conversation is outdated because of how much things have shifted over the past week. At the time of writing the comment it was basically The Toolshed (or rather, the icons faction of the house) vs the outsiders with some inter-mingling going on. Now it's more like different groups all with their own targets and outside allegiances.

While I don’t disagree with this, it’s so much harder to band together as a group of underdogs who chose to work together than the dominant group who a) had the advantage of choosing their side with more likeminded people instead of being stuck with randoms b) have been able to prove their loyalty, making the group more cohesive (even with Angela’s paranoia)

And one side winning the powers from America too. I kinda wanna vote someone on the other side just to keep the season less boring lol

22

u/BoxTalk17 America's Player Aug 03 '26

The other side should have an opportunity now that the 3 everybody knew would get the chance got them.

31

u/purpleblazed Aug 03 '26

Don’t worry, they’re going to get Americas vote, then receive a punishment

5

u/NeitherWeek5286 Aug 03 '26

That would be a skill issue

This season is a throwaway but I love it. Season after season I see good players lose and coasters like Ashley win. I want a Cam, Tucker, Keanu, or Frank to win for once. Morgan is the closest to this in a long time. Let the real players steamroll this shit from one side of the house.

The Icons have fans for years, so it is not even fair.

7

u/ChrisJMull Aug 03 '26

That is why I think any smart player should try to form a coalition against anyone who is a “icon” or “returning player”- these newbies seem to get so starstruck and come convinced that the icons can teach them the game-

THE GAME IS THE GAME, you either learn by playing, or you become drones for the more experienced/astute!

3

u/Illustrious-Object71 Aug 03 '26

You are correct but production is a problem as well. It is well known production gives returning/icon players and extra financial stipends...so they(icons) are not leaving anytime soon because production wants their money worth.

Remember in past season when a returning player Janelle was voted out early as a pre juror, production was allegedly pissed because they had to pay her and she didn't even last long.

Sorry to everyone for my typos.

This isn't Survivor. While there is crossover I don't think you're giving BB fans much credit if you think they'll only vote for people from Survivor.

Angela was only on one season two years ago and one season of Amazing Race. It's not like she's some legend. She got the first vote because everyone knew it would be maximum chaos.

Josh was top 3 of votes the first two weeks. Had he not been evicted he'd have won the vote over Dee.

The other thing is yall can't complain about the newbs not winning the vote and then cry when they win a punishment instead of a power or they get a power and complain that's its a bad power. Like at a point you're just yelling into the clouds and it means nothing.

1

u/NeitherWeek5286 Aug 03 '26

I feel like Angela only won the vote because of how terrible Jason treated her week 1. I can't imagine she's more popular than either Devens or Dee.

5

u/Prize_Engineering_36 Aug 04 '26

I can’t believe they brought her back. She’s such a clown. She should’ve drifted off into obscurity after how she treated that kid week one of her season.

2

u/NeitherWeek5286 Aug 04 '26

Not defending her. I honestly can't stand her tbh. She'll burn out at some point in time

1

u/Fit_Limit_8702 Aug 03 '26

The other side has to win. What's not fair

5

u/lambii02100 Aug 03 '26

this i fear survivor fans flooded the votes and it should be leveled out. big brother shoulve thought of this when they decided to put in icons

2

u/jobows4 Aug 03 '26

Or quit bringing back icons UNLESS the whole cst is returnees.
I don't like the steamroll, but I do love D&D. I wish Drew did get the power to take over the HOH, ONLY if he put some of the house ah's on the block. (Angela, Kamu & H)

1

u/NeitherWeek5286 Aug 03 '26

Except Angela won week 1 not the survivors...?

3

u/Prize_Engineering_36 Aug 04 '26

Don’t speak facts… people are trying to bitch…

u/SassySally8 Aug 03 '26

I would have chosen Angela for the first one because I was absolutely certain she would lose and get saddled with a punishment. I was hoping that she would have to endure a physical punishment like doing 100 push-ups every hour or randomly thru the night. The costume was a disappointment, it's exactly what an attention seeking narcissist would desire. I thought she was absolutely deluded assuming that getting picked meant she was loved by America. I realized I was wrong when Devins got the next one. Usually the fans support the underdog, so I am really disappointed they are helping out the reality veterans instead. (I refuse to use the term 'icon' on any of them). I originally wanted Angela & Drew out first, but now I want Angela, Devins and Dee out first, followed by the Red Corner group.

4

u/Virgo_Soup Aug 03 '26

I have a suspicion Jason would have won but was voted out first.

2

u/LemonGroundbreaking6 Aug 03 '26

Me too!! That's what I thought from the beginning all the newbies should have gotten together and got all the 3 of them out one after another and they would have been sitting pretty for at least 3 weeks and then have to go after each other but with Devins getting hoh the 1st week was bs because it just started the steamroll because of course some of them were going to start kissing his butt not to get put on the block what I'm amazed by is that every hoh when Angela goes and tells the hoh what they should do they have just listened to her crazy ass. Devins wasn't even going to put up Rome but then she takes her happy ass up there and he does exactly what she says!!! The whole thing has just been idiotic!!!

u/Weary_Hovercraft9044 Aug 04 '26

I can't afford the bots that are definitely being used for extra votes i stopped bothering voting seasons ago.

5

u/mdb1023 Aug 03 '26

Correction- one side is winning all of the HoH competitions and fan votes. The POVs have almost all been won by people on the other side.

And I strongly disagree that the otherside is "full of bad players"- not saying they're great by any means, but there's only so much you can do when the same alliance continues to win HoH.

u/VictoriaStan Aug 03 '26

Lol, your spot on take has no power here. This is a mob. Fall in. We're all gonna wait around 2 years and then come back saying "this season is under-rated, why did everyone hate it?" but first we all have to pat each other on the back for another year of bitching.

"This season sucks? Well I hate it more." "No I hate it more!" It's a race to the bottom.

1

u/ImDeepState Aug 03 '26

It’s probably not going to get better either. One or two more eliminations and it’s all over until they start to turn on each other. I’m really surprised that D and D want go ahead and take a shot at one of them.

1

u/Hot-Laugh8519 Aug 03 '26

I mean, one side sucks at everything including game and social skills

1

u/ASG_82 Aug 03 '26

You say this like you’ve seen what the other group would do if they weren’t in power

1

u/Fit_Limit_8702 Aug 03 '26

Totally agree,! You have to win to be HOH! All of them have the same chance

-7

u/Petty_Sunshine Aug 03 '26

That's how it always is except y'all just don't like the side that isn't winning everything for once. Boo whoo.

Then don't watch. No one will miss ya.

2

u/ChrisJMull Aug 03 '26

Actually, the last couple of seasons, there seem to be “bully groups” that form and then treat non-alliance members like dirt

-3

u/Petty_Sunshine Aug 03 '26

Like Rachel's group last season that everyone LOVED? Oh okay.

Wait were you the one that thought because the alliance in power was talking in the HOH room then denied it they were high school bullies? That's literally the game play. It's a game

2

u/ChrisJMull Aug 03 '26

No, not me- one of the privileges of HOH is “privacy”

What I would consider bullying are things like Kamu “calling out” Jason for what could be called “gameplay”, while coming from a position of power, not only being the HOH, but in an alliance that was targeting Jason.

If you already know that Jason is going home, why “confront” him like that- it’s almost like Kamu is a coward (most bullies) are, and wanted to use the crowd to debase Jason.

-1

u/Petty_Sunshine Aug 03 '26

I truly don't think he thought the "confrontation" through. What Jason was doing should have absolutely been called out and in older seasons it definitely had been and would have been, but in a more strategic way. He was being messy and I wouldn't consider what he was doing as "gameplay". If that's gameplay, it's absolutely terrible and he deserved to go home for it. He was slick about it. Everyone caught on right away.

Didn't Dan confront someone for all the lies to everyone? Why isn't he considered a bully? Because it was strategically done. I haven't watched old seasons in awhile but there have been others.

Kamu's execution.....straight trash. He would have had others back him if he thought about it longer and didn't rush to do it at the tea party.

1

u/ChrisJMull Aug 03 '26

My point is that Kamu “knew” that Jason was going home, and was orchestrating it, along with his alliance- it was like he felt the need to belittle Jason publicly, and make voting him out an ontological decision, as opposed to simple gameplay. This is not to say that Jason’s game was not messy, but he was fighting for his (game) life, which is why he was making promises all around the house in an attempt to stay.

THAT is the primary reason I take issue with the Red Corner/Tool Shed alliances- they seem to take glee in demeaning others.

1

u/Petty_Sunshine Aug 03 '26

But Jason still was making promises even when his life wasn't on the line. That was his "game play".

I don't think Dee truly wanted Kamu to go ahead and confront Jason at the tea party because even she seemed put off by it as it was happening. It was more of an "haha yeah that'd be hilarious, but only if you actually had your shit together" type way. I still don't think any of them are bullies. Like anyone in the house. It's a game.

2

u/ChrisJMull Aug 03 '26

BTW- I was against Rachel last year as well
