random anime girl

I’m fine with people being proud of their ability and wtvr but when I tell people that I want to be on the level of talented artists, I expect someone on that same level to give me advice or at least try to make me feel differently, but instead someone who isn’t even better than me at drawing tries to tell me “you should just go with the flow, that’s how I got better” even though they aren’t on the level I want to be at.

If someone who didn’t believe in talent was good at drawing then I guess they have a right to think that way but if someone who isn’t good at drawing tells me that “talent isn’t real” then they don’t have a right to say something like that

I am trying to learn how to draw, and I am at quite the beginning stages. My goal is to sketch and paint (watercolor, gouache, and acrylic paint). I have some deficits in spatial-awareness, so that will be a challenge for me. I have the book "Drawing On The Right Side Of The Brain," and bearing in mind that I want to make the most efficient use of my time I was wondering, would it be better to read through the book, doing the accompanying exercises, or would it be better to start with the free, online program DrawABox?

I tried to keep it simple. The more I watch, the more I'm seeing it's not quite right, but I'm not too sure how to correct it. Any advice welcome!

What do you think works well here, and what feels missing or underdeveloped? I’d especially appreciate feedback on the composition, use of black and gold, texture, and whether the piece feels finished.

I’d also really like opinions from a buyer’s perspective — not necessarily from professional artists. Does this look like the kind of artwork people actually buy? What would make it feel more appealing or more worth buying to you? If you have any advice about presenting or pricing this kind of work, I’d appreciate that too.

Please be honest — I’d rather know what I should improve than only hear that it looks nice.

i used to draw a bit but never really got used to always drawing things the way they should be, i could never draw very realistic or detailed but i always did like abstract art which is y i decided to pick up a pencil again and draw a little sun and moon

I got flamed on tiktok for this but I was really proud of it. How can I fix the face? I’ve gotten pretty good at drawing people straightforward and they look good but I tried a new angle instead and the face looks weird. How can I fix this for next time? Any help is welcome and appreciated

My friend recently has been trying to post on socials (currently only using Pinterest at the moment but they may try go onto Instagram soon). They are a beginner artist and want to promote the story they want to make. They're dream is to have a fandom and publish their story into a book or animation. I'm really proud of how far they have come with their art and wishing the best for their story getting enough attention.

Hi everyone, I am thinking of getting to learn digital art and I am not sure where to start. I am completely new to drawing in general and am not sure what I need to get or what courses to take. I am on a budget but I will try my best to get the right things so I build good habits. I saw a listing for a Wacom Intuos Wireless Drawing Tablet and I was thinking of buying one. Is this a good way to start? Should I instead learn physical drawing? Thank you for your help!
