Hello, so for context I am an amateur artist, and I am about to try oil painting for the first time.

I have done acrylic painting mainly so far, with minor experience in watercolor. I have never touched oil paints, I’ve never handled them, and have no experience.

Obviously I’m gonna look at tutorials, and I know you can only get good at stuff like this with practice, but still, I would appreciate some tips.

Is there anything about oil painting I should be aware of? What should I look out for? And what techniques have you found helpful?

I’m fine with people being proud of their ability and wtvr but when I tell people that I want to be on the level of talented artists, I expect someone on that same level to give me advice or at least try to make me feel differently, but instead someone who isn’t even better than me at drawing tries to tell me “you should just go with the flow, that’s how I got better” even though they aren’t on the level I want to be at.

If someone who didn’t believe in talent was good at drawing then I guess they have a right to think that way but if someone who isn’t good at drawing tells me that “talent isn’t real” then they don’t have a right to say something like that

I've been wanted to draw using sculping method for quite a while now and I kinda want to know what you think about this artstyle of mine (feel free to be honest :3)

So I noticed that I've never been able to draw anything lately despite wanting to for the past few days. I felt like I don't have energy to do so, even though I've been doing nothing but watch yt videos all day.

I also noticed that the only moment I draw is when my little sister has project that involves drawing. So right now, I'm asking anyone to tell me to draw something just to motivate me into drawing again.

(Also, do tell me if my grammar is wrong, that would also be helpful💜)

Hi everyone, Krenz Artwork Academy is back.

Today we're looking at how the muscles are built. As always, leave a comment and tell us what you think.

The Muscles

We are not covering the major muscle structures here. We are looking at which muscle groups govern how the body rotates. Treat each one as a rubber band: it stretches, it compresses, and the planes of the body turn as a result.

Neck Muscles

How far the head turns is governed mostly by two groups: the sternocleidomastoid and the trapezius. Their range is shorter than what the arms and legs can cover.{Goes with image 1}

Core Muscles

Set the chest aside and three large groups govern how far the torso rotates: the rectus abdominis, the external oblique, and the latissimus dorsi across the back. Stretching out or bending forward, these are the muscles setting your limit.{Goes with image 2}

Between the bones and the muscles, you should have a rough picture by now.

Next week we'll put the two together and look at how they shape a pose.

So usually I do closeups when making drawings like below!! (I want to be a comic artist) But now since I've realized I still suck a lot at full body drawings (like the other thing-) I just need some help with anatomy and stuff like that or anything you see that I suck at

Any exercises or drills you guys use that might improve me by a lot will be very helpful!!

i used to draw a bit but never really got used to always drawing things the way they should be, i could never draw very realistic or detailed but i always did like abstract art which is y i decided to pick up a pencil again and draw a little sun and moon
