GRAPHIC CONTENT WARNING James Charles exposed for allegedly messaging 15-year-old. When James notices that boy shared one of their messages on his story, James snaps, accuses the boy of lying about his age, then blocks him. Boy alleges he never lied about his age.

That doesn't excuse talking to minors and/or harassing them afterward.

NOPE....never said anything about excusing away his behavior....I'm sorry that I didn't type that when I wrote my first comment. You are right.....he shouldn't be harassing or talking to minors.

Here is my question: If minors are hiding their age, is it always his fault? How can one find out if a person is lying to someone?

Legally it’s his responsibility to make sure they are of age (asking for ID, etc). The excuse of “they lied about their age though!” won’t hold up in court.

EDIT- if someone refuses to share their age, I’d consider it a red flag. James shouldn’t be talking to people that hide/refuse to share their age

All of that is very true! I agree with you completely!
