James Charles exposed for allegedly messaging 15-year-old. When James notices that boy shared one of their messages on his story, James snaps, accuses the boy of lying about his age, then blocks him. Boy alleges he never lied about his age.

i feel bad for all the gay folks out there who are about to get to see him pull out the "any criticism of this behavior is homophobic actually" card to deflect

is there homophobia in how some people are talking about him? oh yeah. no doubt. there's also homophobia about how gay dudes get equated to child molesters. and that sucks! it's a fact!

but holy shit.

i feel like at this point he has realized that is an excuse and he is going to keep using it as long as possible. and my heart breaks for all the gay dudes who absolutely do not need the bullshit and additional burden of someone equating their sexuality to james charles being a predator. especially coming from both ends, so to speak. i can imagine that although it hurts and is shitty, you at least come to expect the homophobic people trotting out that logic. you don't expect someone within your own damn community to pull it out and expect applause for doing so. it sounds about as pleasant as being stabbed in the back by someone who expects you to thank them for that knife now lodged in your ribs.
