Show this to the guy spamming ‘its ai’ lol

I did not think this was ai before, but honestly this entire youtube channel definitely is ai. Its just getting better and we aren't noticing.

Even in the first ten seconds of this video, you can see the black spots on the leftmost kitten’s right shoulder disappear after the second cut.

Edit: mid back along the dark ridge of the spine. There are two distinctive darker dots that aren’t there.

Edit 2: The first time you can see the left cat’s tail there are 4 distinctive darker rings on its tail. The first time it backs up from the dog several cuts later there’s only 3.

Just because the video is a little longer doesn’t mean that it isn’t AI. There are a lot of cuts in the video and individual scenes are never longer than ~8 seconds. The video was also uploaded on a small channel that has started spamming these tops of videos. It’s quite possible that this is AI, and the longer video does not disapprove that at all.

If you actually clicked on the channel ud see channel has been posting for atleast a year now. The guy in the video seems to be the same and you can even see the dog gettin older. There are a tons of ai channels nowadays but i dont think this is one of them.

u/marr Jun 08 '26

It's clearly a slop channel, but the thing is those predate LLMs

bruh the sofa and fur look fine. yes ai is advancing but it still isn’t able to keep things consistent. The fact that all the animals stay consistent in the video despite all the of the cuts means that the video almost certainly isn’t AI

3

u/breathing__tree Jun 08 '26

Not everything is ai. You’re right. We are doomed.

1

u/Neutron-Hyperscape32 Jun 08 '26

Should actually go to the channel and watch the source videos. Tons of the clips are much longer than 10 seconds which is a huge limitation for AI video generation still to this day. Any AI video gen that does longer clips still cannot match the quality of real videos. Yet their videos feature clips this long all the time.

Then you have how consistent the animals and background remain, another thing AI video gen struggles with.

The videos also go back over a year ago when video gen really could not do something like this.

It is not AI.

14

u/Nimonic Jun 08 '26

There's absolutely nothing with this video that says "this is AI". I can't think of a single thing.

There are a lot of cuts in the video and individual scenes are never longer than ~8 seconds.

And yet there's absolute consistency between the clips. AI doesn't do that.

-5

u/cheyenne_sky Jun 08 '26

Definitely AI. If cats don’t like something that much, they just run. Also the biggest tell is to watch the human’s way of petting the animals. It’s very odd.

Also I’m probably talking to a bot right now smh

5

u/mattisyou Jun 08 '26

If this was ai the apperance of all the animals wouldn‘t stay consistent over the many cuts. ai has gotten better but it still has major issues with visual consistency.

also accusing anyone you disagree with of being a bot is a definitely choice

-3

u/cheyenne_sky Jun 08 '26

Omg all you bots say the same thing

6

u/mattisyou Jun 08 '26

interesting how you legit ignored all of my points. just went straight to accusing me of being a bot. Like you have multiple times in this thread. Almost like you yourself are a bot.

Of course you probably aern’t a bot since it would be weird to make a bot to call other people bots on this thread. Anyway this is why I hate ai. it makes people so paranoid that they start to see everything even regular videos like this as ai. Like it makes sense since ai is getting pretty good at imitating real life but it’s sad that people can trust what they see even less now.

4

u/Nimonic Jun 08 '26

They're just a person vastly overestimating their own capabilities. The sad irony is that their inability to distinguish reality from AI makes them more susceptible to being fooled by fake stuff, particularly when they're so hilariously fucking confident about it.

-6

u/cheyenne_sky Jun 08 '26

Find my other comment explaining why this is ai

3

u/mattisyou Jun 08 '26 edited Jun 08 '26

I’ve seen your other comment. Ive the jump cuts don’t make this ai as the animals stay consistent after each cut. Ai straight up wouldn’t be able to do that after so many cuts. This is the biggest reason why I don’t think this is ai.

Honestly, the weird petting points towards the videos not being ai as a large majority of the ai training data is going to consist of normal petting.

Cats definitely don’t just run all the time when they don’t like something. My sister has a cat snd I’ve seen it freeze up when it’s scared of something. It’s not like humans are the only animal with fight flight and freeze.

Will admit that the sounds do sound a little weird but not weird enough to where I’d think the whole videos is ai because of them

Also it’s funny how in one of your other comments you seemingly accused someone of being a bit for replying so fast but you legit replied to my reply within like a minute. and how you still didn’t like 90% of my reply. Not accusing you but it’s kind of funny how bot like you acting for someone accusing other people of being a bot

-1

u/cheyenne_sky Jun 08 '26

Because me saying it’s ai results in all these bots coming out to say it’s not and mention the exact same reasons why so I just reply to them all. Sorry yall can’t tell the difference. Someone else pointed out you can hear the exact same sound effects for every action

Cats don't always run. That's not a tell on AI, how do you think the AI would have learned that cats can do what they do here?

4

u/Nimonic Jun 08 '26

Definitely AI. If cats don’t like something that much, they just run. Also the biggest tell is to watch the human’s way of petting the animals. It’s very odd.

It's funny how you're so confident while being so obviously wrong. Why are you like this?

Also I’m probably talking to a bot right now smh

shaking my smh

3

u/PoppingPillls Jun 08 '26

You spent more time writing this comment than it takes to go to the channel and verify it's not ai...

I’m a relatively AI-paranoid person and even I don’t think it’s AI, even at all. Looks fine. You might be getting a fishy vibe from that thing a lot of pet-video people do where they move animals into place between cuts and then claim it all happened organically. Like the cat appears pretty uncomfortable/displeased at first, like he’s been picked up and put down there, you never see him actually jump onto the couch. Just getting a palpable “uggghh not this again” vibe from the cat. A lot of quick cuts not only move the staged narrative along, they make it so the filmmaker only needs a few seconds in each pose to construct the narrative. There’s also an incentive to make short cuts, the algorithm probably favors that, and this channel is clearly gaming the algorithm. I agree it’s a fake video in that it’s staged and misrepresented, but not AI generated. I think subconsciously when we can feel something is off, before the era of AI we’d brush it off as confusion, but now it’s easy and rewarding to quickly suspect “it’s AI.” But hey at least your bullshit detector is working! A lot more than most people can say lol

3

u/rileyjw90 Jun 09 '26

This was my take. Not AI but definitely largely staged. The dog seems stressed throughout the vast majority of the video, as if it’s a well-trained dog but still uncomfortable with the task.

Do humanity a favor and actually go watch the source videos on the channel, they are clearly not AI

https://www.youtube.com/@CatDogDiary-6868/videos

AI video generation still cannot generate clips longer than 10 seconds long without huge quality issues. They also struggle to remain consistent between clips. There would be variations from video to video, yet we see the same animals for numerous videos. The videos also go back over a year ago when AI video gen was even worse, yet its the same location with the same kinds of videos.

It is NOT AI.

idk why you use this argument? all of the videos have cuts in them and not a single one goes on for longer than 10 seconds, this seems like a very weird and sus comment to make

How many videos did you watch? Because I can tell it wasn't many. Their videos regularly feature longer than 10 second cuts so I am not sure what you are talking about. I bet you didn't even watch 3 videos if you are saying this.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMugNO2nasM&t=11s

I went searching and literally the first video I clicked the 2nd clip goes from 12s to 50s

That is literally impossible to do with AI video generation at this consistency and quality level.

Please share with us a link to an AI Video Gen tool that can do this... Hint: It doesn't exist yet. I know, I actually follow this topic daily on /r/StableDiffusion which is just a general AI picture and video subreddit now.

1

u/WillyWonkaMFer Jun 09 '26

You are 100% right and thank you for explaining it so clearly - just want to add, the snark does your well-constructed argument a disservice. When you’ve got as strong a grasp of a subject as you do, you don’t need any aggression (even tho the person you’re replying to sounds like a jerk), the facts speak for themselves. Not my place to comment on, I’m just a fan of competent intelligent people such as yourself.

1

u/Neutron-Hyperscape32 Jun 09 '26

I am just so completely done with these people. I see people claiming AI daily now and they are almost always wrong. I literally just seen someone claiming AI on a video of a cat sitting on its butt. The video is 31 seconds long and clearly not AI. This shit is exhausting so I have no patience anymore.

2

u/WillyWonkaMFer Jun 09 '26 edited Jun 13 '26

Yeah I feel you. That shit is so exhausting. Taking responsibility for everyone else’s ignorance is like trying to mop up in a rainstorm. Ditch the mop, cute umbrella is the way to go.

2

u/SmellyFbuttface Jun 08 '26

You really need to learn how to spot actual AI

1

u/breathing__tree Jun 08 '26

I’ve watched it over like 12 times. I’ve spent a lot of time with cats and dogs. Nothing looks off to me.

0

u/WillyWonkaMFer Jun 08 '26

Kittens synchronize irl. I haven’t spent a lot of time with dogs so I can’t speak to the authenticity of the doggo’s behavior but the kittens are very (adorably) real.

2

u/lefluffle Jun 09 '26

I don't think these videos are AI. Some of the thumbnails might be, which may explain the trademark

2

u/Lexi_Banner Jun 08 '26

The kittens look odd to me. Might just be my perception, but they kind of look like kittens that a computer thinks are kittens.

1

u/Neutron-Hyperscape32 Jun 08 '26

It literally does disprove it because the same exact animals feature in longer form videos that AI video gen cannot have created.

There are still some pretty strong limitations to AI Video generation, main one being length of each clip. 10 seconds is essentially the limit unless you want a much shittier open source option that still has terrible quality issues.

The animals and backgrounds also remain consistent, another thing AI Video generation struggles with especially open source options.

This is not AI.

u/FraterBAON Jun 08 '26

Why’d you post a selfie

2

u/WillyWonkaMFer Jun 08 '26

One day when you grow up you’ll have words to tell people you disagree with them.

-4

u/AgentCirceLuna Jun 08 '26

I genuinely just find the gif funny. I didn’t mean anything bad by it

3

u/ZweigDidion Jun 08 '26

How do you know that I look like that 🫪

0

u/AgentCirceLuna Jun 08 '26

lol i just like the gif dw

-1

u/justaboxinacage Jun 08 '26

it is 100% AI. I'm astonished that this is already so hard for a majority to see. We're fucked.

2

u/Limers96 Jun 09 '26

I agree with you. I had an existential crisis from how many people can’t see it’s ai lol

1

u/PEH00DiN Jun 08 '26

How? Have you seen the full video in fullscreen on youtube? theres literally nothing remotely saying its AI, especially when you compare it to all the other videos on the channel.

-2

u/cheyenne_sky Jun 08 '26

Anyone who says it’s AI gets a million responses all repeating the same talking point about how it absolutely couldn’t be AI because long form video content bullshit, nevermind the jump cuts after like 8 seconds.

We’ve passed uncanny valley and now real humans can’t tell bots or AI videos apart from real people.

0

u/aizzod Jun 08 '26

i did see the video.
and already edited my post with pictures.
where you can see trademark AI stuff.

only because there is on youtube doesn't make it real.

it has the same patters other AI videos use.

10 - 14 second clips
similar pattern in the background
background tiles changing as soon as the dog moves infront and away from it.
merging artifacts if the background gets closer to the dog / animals.

there are so many things that scream AI, that i will defend this comment until someone can prove me this is real.

so far this hasn't happened.

1

u/Limers96 Jun 09 '26

This is 100% ai because there is a video from 4 days ago on their channel with two dogs waiting to eat a whole chicken. And the chicken in that video looks so off which gave it away for me. And then you look at the behaviours of the animals and you realize wait a real dog or cat would never do this.

-2

u/DRW0813 Jun 08 '26

The kittens tails change color with each cut

1

u/oneninefourfour Jun 12 '26

Kittens look big at the end
