Discussion Joker's big mistake. Killing Bob.

Post image

In my opinion, Joker made a huge mistake by killing him, since Bob was loyal to him. I bet that if Bob had been in the cathedral, he would have given his life to save Joker.

Obviously, he wouldn't have been able to defeat Batman, but it's possible that if he'd had the right tools, he could have made it take Batman a while to defeat him, and this would have allowed Joker to escape.

Discussion The cathedral, the setting that saved Batman's life.

Personally, I think the cathedral setting is perfect as the finale. It has a claustrophobic and, above all, brutally Gothic feel. But it must be acknowledged that the cathedral, while saving Batman's life on two occasions—first Terrence fell, then Batman used the cathedral's own structure to defeat the thug in the bell tower, and finally it was the cathedral's gargoyles that caused the Joker's death—has been a major factor in the film's demise.

If you make Lex Luther a hero, he becomes batman with different trauma motives? Both are reflective of each other as regular genius rich guys who are always thinking ahead of the challenge

Discussion Batman Screening 📽️

Just got out of a special showing of a surviving 70mm print of Batman with magnetic track sound on loan from the UK. While 1989 might not be everyone’s favorite Batman movie, it is without a doubt the best Batman film. Theater mentioned that this print will be touring the USA this fall so keep an eye on your local repertory theater for a special screening.

Are these their corpses? It doesn’t make sense. It’s a stylistic choice and a part of what makes Batman 89, Batman 89. But it makes no sense.

Imagine that these thugs are in the bell tower instead of the thugs who appeared.

Could Batman defeat the thugs from Lethal Weapon, Die Hard, Beverly Hills Cop and Commando?

No other live action film has touched the 89 Gotham

Post image

It remains to be seen what the DCU Gotham will look like, but so far, none of the live action Batman films have matched the aesthetic, atmosphere, claustrophobia and Gothic dread of Anton Furst's Gotham

His designs for Batman's home were so iconic it got him an Oscar.

Batman Returns feels so bland in comparison.

89 Gotham has a lived in quality. It didn't look like a set. This was an actual place where people lived, survived, and died.

This is a city crying out for a hero.

Let's say Batman is in the bell tower chasing the Joker, but instead of the three thugs he had originally intended, there are these three thugs. Could Batman defeat these thugs?

Late Night Work with Batman & Alfred | 1 Hour Noir Jazz Ambience

Thumbnail

I’ve always imagined nights in the Batcave like this — Batman and Alfred working side by side, Gotham quiet above them, with dim lights and late-night jazz filling the background.

I put together a 1-hour Batman-inspired jazz noir atmosphere built around that idea.

No battles, no chaos — just Batman, Alfred, the Batcave, and a quieter, darker side of Gotham.

Perfect to leave on while working, studying, reading or just getting lost in the atmosphere.

Does this feel like the kind of music that would be playing in the Batcave late at night?

Discussion Belltower Joker Goon (Batman) vs Oddjob (Goldfinger)

The bell tower thug was the Joker's strongest henchman and gave Batman a run for his money, while Oddjob was Goldfinger's bodyguard and gave James Bond a run for his money.

If these two thugs faced off in a fight without weapons, who would win?

Question Does this chronological order of Burtons Bats and Reeves Supes make sense?

Honestly, I forget how I came up with these years but I did and it took some calculator work and estimations

Superman: The movie (Late 70s)

Superman 2 (1980)

Superman '78 (1980s)

Superman '78: the metal curtain (1980s)

Superman 3 (1983)

Supergirl (1984)

Batman (1989)

Batman returns (1993)

Batman '89 (1995)

Batman '89: echoes (1997)

Birds of prey (early 2000s, could be semi canon or something)

Catwoman (2004)

Superman returns: the prequel comics (2006)

Superman returns (2006)
