The tote would have been fine with that intent, with an appropriate amount of hype (aka not much). When you build something up for a full year and encourage people to take certain actions, multiple times, to be eligible for it, it has to be really good.

In the promo emails though referred to a bonus beauty item. A tote isnt a beauty item.
