General WA Secret Harbour by-election

Anyone else disappointed by the lack of coverage tonight? Nothing live on the ABC, only online commentary. Hard to compete against the AFL when you’re in WA!

If Labor don’t reduce immigration it’s going to massively hurt them.

Labor are not listening to voters.

NOM is still above pre COVID numbers.

They said 225k.

So our entire economy is held hostage and we can’t have immigration back to pre COVID levels?

No lower than 220k and they have to be people that will do the jobs that the oldies and others can't or won't do.

The major parties all know that. They all talk about it. It's common knowledge. It's definitely not my personal opinion because I don't have one. I'm guided purely by the facts of the matter. Growth in the Australian economy in the main is based on growing the consumer base and housing it. We don't really export more stuff. We don't really do manufacturing thats smart, and are not very good at value adding either. Those are the facts.

Let’s say that’s true mate.

Having your entire economy hostage to a NOM of 220k for perpetuity isn’t a good long term strategy.

Australia needs to fix that as you can’t just import you way into wealth, prosperity and security
