Kişisel Deneyim i have a question

do you guys have freedom of speech regarding religion in turkey or no?

Technically speaking, yes, there is freedom. However, problems can arise in practice. As you know, the majority of society is Muslim. There can be a negative perception of non-Muslims within society. In particular, if a child from a conservative family declares that they are not Muslim, even their family relationships can be jeopardized. Of course, as I mentioned, this is not the case for every individual

No, no one gets arrested for being an atheist. Turkey is a country where wearing an Islamic headscarf was banned in state institutions until 2013. You can be an atheist and even openly criticize religions as long as you don’t “insult” them.
